Zubi at Billy's
Zubi at Billy's was a bit of a flop this weekend. Really underwhelmed by the food here and probably would not return despite its proximity to Bilgola Beach.Ordered the Chilli Chicken Burger, Smashed Avocado with a side of bacon, and a large flat white.Flavour of the chicken was actually quite nice and the bun was soft however it amazes me how they managed to also serve a bucketload of water with my burger. Because of the all the moisture that dripped out, my corn chips, which were already a little stale, became wet and soggy too. Guacamole that came with the corn chips was also very underwhelming and needed a lot of seasoning to save it. With a burger and nachos, this felt like two very average dishes on the one plate.Smashed Avocado, like the guacamole, lacked simple seasoning and my friend commented that this was the worst smashed avocado he had ever had. He struggled to finish because of how gluggy the avocado was. The bacon helped immensely with flavouring the dish but must be noted that we had added that on as a side.Coffee was decent enough.

The best BLT I’ve eaten since moving to Australia, lovely crunchy bacon on fresh Turkish and generous fillings, fantastic coffee as well! Friendly staff and efficient service. A perfect spot for a bite by the beach.

Nice view but the cafe is in the shade and can be windy so quite cold. The food is ok but not the best . The plate you will see under is full of extras : extra egg which was not right running / extra tomato / extra haloumi which was super salted!! So the price is going up up up .
