Excellent customer service. I went in looking for a 12”x12” frame and ended up speaking to Lee regarding something I wanted to have framed. He was very helpful and honest in explaining the work required for a difficult custom framing job. Will be returning soon to have a few things framed. Lee is such a lovely, genuine person, he guided us through the whole process with kindness, honesty and integrity, and we have so much trust in what he says and does.We researched heavily before choosing Black Door, and it was well worth the trip. They are an ethical Aboriginal art gallery born of a 30 year old family run framing business. They do right by the artists, and also offer a beautiful mentoring style set up for their newer artists, helping new folks to get started if they’re not sure how to price their works etc.After going to look around in the hopes of maybe finding one artwork for our home, we left with two (one by Lee himself which was very special!) and have already asked him to help with framing an artwork we already own! Lee shares the stories behind the pieces too, which made me well up, it’s incredible hearing the artist talk about their own work with such passion, and not something you can get everywhere.Honestly we had the best experience, one that we’ll remember forever, and I couldn’t recommend Black Door enough, my husband and I have already told everyone we know to visit!
