What a stunning place to visit or stay for a while. The choice is yours with a magnificent day area (entrance fee to the reserve applies) with picnic and BBQ facilities as well as swimming areas and a beautiful waterfall that flows all year long but is more spectacular in winter. There are also many walk trails and canoeing on the river is also an option. Drop toilets are also part of the facilities for those who feel the pressing need.If your choice is to stay a while there are many options (fee applies for overnight stays). Some sites do not require booking such as camping at Old Gnanga Town site and part of the Gnanga mill campsite ground for example. Then there is also an area in the Gnanga Mill area that has been set up for caravans and requires online booking. Other more private campsites in the reserve require online booking also such as the Baden Powell sites and several others. It is a very popular place so booking in advance is a good idea unless you wish to chance a space in the open area campgrounds being available.

Great place for picnic and swim. Campsites in area are very good and can be booked online. Can get extremely crowded on warm days though. Being so close to Perth, makes for a great weekender.

Beautiful swimming and canoeing spot with steps down to the water which was freezing but so invigorating! Fantastic new bridge a little further up if you don’t want to swim.

Well facilitated area with plenty of parking and a load/unload area to drop off your equipment, kayaks, or picnic supplies. Lots of shade and toilets are on site too. As with all of Lane Poole, this area is dog friendly.

Beautiful spot for watersports and a picnic. Stairs for easy access to the water.

Stacks of parking in the middle of the bush, a stones throw from Baden Powel camping area. Waters ideal for kayakers, swimming and general exploring.A relatively new foot bridge over the river allows much more exploring.

One of the most beautiful places I have been in AUSTRALIA. The water sound rumbling surrounded by all greens makes this place memorable!
