Very professional and transparent. Have had my car serviced a few times here and will continue to return. Appreciate Gil and Harold explaining in good detail why or why not something needs to be replaced or changed.

Went to Gil to get our brakes fixed and airbag light checked. He charged us for a pink slip inspection even when we didn't ask for it. Took off our brand new Bosch front wipers and replaced them with really cheap wipers. When I asked why he did that and if I could get the Bosch wipers back he said if I didn't ask him to keep it on he always replaces it as part of the pink slip inspection. But curiously he didn't replace the rear wipers even though they were in worse condition.He did do a great job fixing our airbag light problem quickly. But our brakes started squeaking within a couple weeks. When I told him of this he said he couldn't hear anything and so did no further work.Not going to be coming back because of my personal experience. But thanks for fixing our airbags.

Gil Auto was the only service that could identify and fix the problem with my catalytic converter. After trying so many different services I was quite hopeless that this engine light will always be on and exhaust will be inefficient, but Gil went above and beyond to find the root cause and fix it. It's been a year since that time and my exhaust is still great.

Gil and Harold are not only experts in their fields, but also honest, caring and genuine. They take the time to do a thorough car service and communicate throughout, with recommendations. I value their wisdom and experience and would take my car nowhere else!

My wifes Mini Cooper started having problems so I took it into Gil Auto. It ended up being a rather serious issue unfortunately, so I have taken it to bmw to try and get it fixed under australian consumer law as recommended by Gil.Although the situation was unlucky for me, it was a pleasure dealing with Gil. He kept me updated every step of the way as he performed a thorough diagnosis to find the root cause of the issue. While some shops will throw parts at it unnecessarily, Gil makes the effort to accurately diagnose the issue without inflating costs for his customers. He took the time to explain his investigation and reasoning for every job and test that was performed.Thank you for all your work Gil, and when the Mini is back to life I will not hesitate to bring it back here again!

Gil is always reliable, professional and honest. He really knows cars, especially VWs, and is brilliant at servicing and fixing them. Plus, he never overcharges. I highly recommend Gil. He and his wonderful dad Harold, are always a pleasure to deal with.

Gil has kept my beloved old Subaru on the road for 20 years. He is amazing and he understands that I am very attached to my manual drive car. They don’t come better than Gil. Harald is great too, always so helpful and friendly.

It's always a pleasure to take my car to Gil Auto. The big plus is the personal service and being able to speak to the person supervising the work. Also, it is close to our home, so very convenient. The quality of the work is excellent and it's reassuring to have such a reliable mechanic so close by.

Late on the review but wanted to see how it all worked out on the long term. Been a fair while ago since they fixed my oil leak on my VW Passat. Time cover leak I believe and maybe a coil has been replaced too. Unfortunately once of my sensors had to be replaced in the process while fixing the other issue. All together it wasn’t per se a cheap operation but the result was perfect as so far no issues with the fixed problems. Happy with the service and quality of the repairs. Been informed all throughout the process. Would recommend and trust this place for serious car problems and bigger jobs.
