Absolutely love the finished product. Dean and Frances were so transparent and honest regarding the construction of this 3m desk. An absolute pleasure to deal with and great attention to detail as well as a genuine love for what they do and the underlying craftsmanship that went into the job. Highly recommend to anyone seeking custom made furniture at a good price with amazing results.

Met Dean yesterday. Is it enough to say, even his dog is called 'Zen'. He took time to talk with us even though we were only making a small purchase. When I need custom work, I will certainly return and give Dean my business. Lovely young man.

Dean and the team have done a great job with our custom timber slab dining table and outdoor bar table with live edge. Had a few minor issues and there was no problem for them to resolve the problem and ship back to us. Happy to recommend to anyone that needs custom furnature

I needed a timber for a project.Since this was my first project, I trusted them with the timber quality. I purchased the epoxy as well from them and they knew that the timber they are selling me wont work. It was a wrotten piece and they told me that its just minor.I trusted them.When I worked on a small offcut sample piece then the entire offcut timber was completly wrotten.When I spoke to them that the timber is wrotten and that please take back the tumber as it is still untouched(as I worked on sample piece),they denied taking back.I told them I can bear some losses but not all losses,then they denied again and did not help at all.These guys are cheaters.

Amazing custom made furniture!

We commissioned a recycled timber benchtop from Dean for our kitchen renovation. Lead up and all communications prior to production were terrific and we were very impressed with Dean’s communication. We did not get to the showroom to see his work.Once we were ready for instal, dean arranged his instal guy (Marcus) to come and instal for a set cash fee. Contrary to prior discussions and assurances, dean did not come to attend instal and did not come for a check and measure before transporting the goods. Once Marcus and an apprentice arrived the benchtop was attached without giving us a chance to look over it and was a shocking instal job. Our brand new cabinets were cut into and the sink cutout was misplaced. The huge benchtop was also glued into place without properly measuring so it protruded out into our brand new stove and was not fixable due to the sheer size and weight of the bench. One of the other was made to incorrect measurements (which is fine and standard) so that was to be re-adjusted and sent back for a second instal.Dean was really understanding and apologetic for the instal disaster and offered to come out for the second instal himself to make sure it was done properly. He also agreed to fix the surface of the benchtops which were not to a good grade standard as had not been filled adequately which rendered the whole surface unusable for food preparation. However after much back and forth, Dean didn’t come out and became rude and dismissive of our concerns. We ended up having to pay a local restorer to instal the second bench as well as spend numerous hours (and days) to fix the surfaces to a standard they require for kitchens. Dean refused to accept any fault and we were left 5 weeks without a kitchen because of the benchtop alone, and some $800 worse off as a result of having to get a third party willing to finish someone else’s job properly. It was really disappointing as our initial dealings were very positive.I suspect Dean took the job on without having the technical expertise to deliver a product to a standard one would expect for a food prep surface. Although we have ended up with something we are happy with, it is ultimately a result of the third party spending the time to finish the job well. Otherwise we essentially paid Living Timber and their instal guy thousands for recycled timber and irreversibly damaged brand new cabinetry.Sorry to post this but want people to make sure they check the product before putting down any payments and hunt around for people that have the technical skills required for the job at hand.

this place is amazing from customer service to pricing and even general recommendations, i have spoken to both Dean and Frances they were both amazing to speak to and super helpful, i bought some Tassie Blackwood and Brushbox for my timber major work and the timber is of the highest quality possible so you really cant go wrong when you buy from here. they were ven able to assist me with one of my assignments for my industrial technology timber course, id highly recommend living timber for any of your timber needs, i will for sure be returning here for all of my timber needs
