No fire pits. Gas barbeque. Tables. Toilets are not far.

We found this picnic spot quite by accident. It was warm, but the clouds were thickening like its going to rain soon. We planned to have a picnic that day and needed a place with a roof and tables. Luckily, we found this quiet spot. This area has a water tap, 2 barbecues and 2 large tables with benches. I think this place is ideal for a large company. The only thing that bothered us was the flies, that’s why I rate this place 4 stars.

Quiet and often overlooked picnic area with under cover areas, picnic tables and BBQ's away from the noise of lakeside campground. It's a location for spotting all sort of native animals, especially kangaroo, various parrot species and with luck, echidna. When lake Eildon is close to capacity, the water is right next to the tables.Popular (When there's enough water) with those looking to canoe the shallower and quieter areas of Collier bay.For those not used to dealing with ski/wakeboard boats, it's a much safer place to take a dip than swimming at Lakeside campground due boat traffic there.The downside is that as the water level of lake Eildon drops, the site becomes somewhat remote from the lake.It's my go to" BBQ location for when I'm hosting international guests
