there is a terrible place, they are overcharging products just because the retail is in Avalon, the mona vale store has better prices. I'll never get back there

Before the renno this was a good supermarket, had practically everything you needed but now that it’s a metro there is very limited stock and many items that i used to appreciate being able to buy from a place so close to me are now not even sold plus the prices have gone up on everything to the point where it’s more affordable to spend a bit more on fuel and drive to mona vale coles.

Very poor food handling practices. I've lost count of the amount of times I've had to return off chicken. I don't buy it from here any more even though I'm a minute drive away, it's still off even if I ice pack it and quickly rush home!Staff do not understand Australian consumer law and try to tell me I am entitled to store credit but not a refund.

I can’t believe this is considered a simple local supermarket! It is also a deli! Lovely helpful staff, incredible range of cheeses, dips and “everything”!!

So 4 months on and I am so disappointed with the limited options for so many foods. I try to buy cheaper options of categories when I go shopping but there are only expensive main brands. The cheaper woolworths brand is limited in most areas! Arnotts biscuits only, more expensive canned fruit and vegetables, etc etc. I now travel to Mona Vale to shop so that my shopping for essentials doesn’t skyrocket. I can’t see how families in the area can afford to feed their children if using this shop. I’m sure others are avoiding it like the plague as well.

It's 3.30 on a Friday and you have one, one only, cash register open.What makes this ludicrous situation worse is that it is Robert operating the checkout. He is so slow and continually adjusting things on the conveyor before he scans them.He even unbagged the red capsicums and scanned them separately from the yellow ones, even though they are the same price. He commented that this was for stocktaking reasons. He then contemplated separating the red and yellow small tomatoes until the customer behind us made a comment.People assiduously avoid Robert when he is on register but today we had no choice. The lady at the cigarette desk saw the backlog at Robert's register and had to open to take customers.Your many self check out units were busy but I refuse to fall for your policy that will end in no manned registers one day.There is a place for Robert at Woolworths but being the sole register on a busy Friday afternoon is not it. Woolworths, very poor store and man management!Coles Newport has as good if not better range of products and staffing rarely seems to be an issue. If we are forced to travel to Newport for service then so be it .

Store looks nice, but just like before, it has lots of unavailable items - for example no parsley at all! Worst of all, the current bread selection (from The Bread and Butter Project) is awful, compared to the good selection in the old store. I stupidly paid $8.90 for a White Sourdough Batard which is like a brick. I'll never buy bread there again - better go to Bakers' Delight or Coles. And removing the plexi-glass screen barriers between checkouts will facilitate the spread of COVID, especially when neither customers nor staff observe social distancing.
