i was very disappointed with aec and the greencross vets here, unfortunately my puppy got very sick and they couldn’t figure out what was wrong with him, they made me feel like a bad owner and made my partner cry after telling me i need to keep him overnight with fluids and it would cost 1.5k… over 3 days they were unable to figure out what was wrong so i took him to another vet hospital not related to greencross or aec. It took the other vets 30 minutes to see me and figure out what was wrong only costing me A FRACTION of the price. I wouldn’t recommend this vet to anyone. It felt as if they were clueless trainees pulling at heartstrings for financial gain.

Tonight my daughter called in as she was in petbarn next door as her dog has recently been deserted and she was worried one of her stitches has popped. The young vet nurse was incredibly rude and said it’s emergency time only. 2 seconds it would of taken to look. This a is the second bad experience I have had with AEC after I called in the early hours of the morning a little while ago as my dog had luxated her knee and the woman I got on the phone was rude to me too at a time when I needed help with my dog. Whoever is doing the employing needs to do better as if that’s how your staff treat the owners, then I am genuinely concerned how you treat the animals??

Dr Nemani saved Timmy's life over New Years Eve/New Years Day public holidays 2023. We're from Brisbane, and were just up to visit family, all vets were closed etc except for the AEC. Dr Nemani told me about a certain drug used to treat Megacolon that my cat should have been on a long time ago, and even though I had taken him to multiple different vets in Brisbane, no one had been able to tell me about this medicine or prescribe it for Timmy even though he had been diagnosed with megacolon.Timmy would have died if it weren't for Dr Nemani. (Thank you so much!!) He's now happy and healthy at home in Brisbane, and taking his Cisipride twice a day (and pooping daily!). <3

Never again.I left my dog there for stitches to a deep cut(s) at 1.30pm. I understand they only had one vet who was run off his feet. Was told one more dog before you ,then your dogs surgery. Called 3 hours later to check. Was told one more dog, then yours.Got a call around 6pm Was told my dog will go into surgery at 8pm when the second vet starts. I advised that I wanted to pick my dog up after surgery and not stay overnight, so was told they d call me after surgery even if late. No call.I eventually fell asleep for a couple of hours. Went there at 4.30am to pick up my dog and was told she went into surgery just then at 4am and it would take a bit longer as the cuts were worse than anticipated.15 hours my blind and deaf dog was kept zonked out on ketamine before seen to.I understand that more serious cases take priority but would have liked the courtesy of being informed and I would have taken my dog elsewhere to be treated.I will not be back. The first experience here wasn't great, as I had to take my dog to one of the other emergency rooms anyway - and this experience just left me disgusted. No communication to let me know what s happening. For future emergencies i have to take the chance of my pet dying when driving to the next emergency vet 10min further. But I prefer 10 min to 15 HOURS!

Since January I have had to bring my boy in twice and my girl went in last night. We live in Gympie and my dogs mouths are always getting them into trouble after hours. They have been absolutely amazing. I always call in ahead of time and usually ask for advice as well in regards to my dogs symptoms. The cost is always somewhat reasonable (I don’t have insurance but at this point absolutely need it) for what you’d expect from an emergency vet and the care and compassion for your animals is just amazing. Both my boy who had emergency surgery and my girl have both fully recovered. The knowledge of the vets and vet nurses are absolutely great. 10/10 would recommend taking your sick animals here.

A few weeks ago, our Spoodle Daisy needed urgent care late one night. The vets at AEC were very knowledgeable and caring. They ran tests quickly and called us to let us know the results as soon as they came in. Luckily, Daisy only needed a few days in their care until she was able to come home. AEC happily took our calls to check in on Daisy. We knew she was in good hands and can’t thank the vets enough for looking after our girl!
