Monique's Music

I have known Monique for about two years now, I am a teacher myself but needed help with the clarinet, Monique certainly has patience in abundance with a stubborn soul like me. I had set myself a goal of ‘crossing the break’ and Monique helped me achieve this.

Monique is enthusiastic, a great teacher and a lovely person to work with! Last year I decided I wanted to start playing my flute again and I feel I have improved dramatically since meeting Monique! Highly recommend!

I have been a clarinet player for a number of years, playing in a few bands in my youth, but never really achieved much.Monique has not only cleaned-up" my playing but also helped me assault the heights of the Altissimo range of notes.My Alto Sax playing has received some improvement thanks to Monique also.Monique assists me in my composing by patiently reviewing each piece and giving necessary feedback.Monique has also been engaged as a conductor for the ensemble I play in and has been very successful in honing all our skills to be a cohesive

Monique is an excellent sax teacher . Quick to recognise flaws and bad habits and provide constant reminders ( gently ) to keep you honest which is so important when you are trying to get the basics right. Find Monique very accomodating with scheduling and also very prompt and professional with her lessons. She has a lot of experience teaching but is very flexible and individualises the program to what you’d like to learn . Find her very supportive for an adult learner like myself. Certainly does make the whole process enjoyable !

Moniques music and flute lessons are well presented and performed. And the quality and content is perfect for both beginners and intermediate musicians. I couldn't recommend her lessons and teaching more. She presents well and introduces us to the fun world of music! Her lessons are unbeatable!

I've been enjoying Zoom lessons with Monique for just over one year now. I learned clarinet for years at school, then last year picked it up again after a 30 year break. I am really happy that I found Monique to support me on this journey. I work full time and have a family so finding time to play the clarinet is sometimes tricky. Monique's weekly lessons motivate me to find the time for clarinet practice. On the other hand, Monique has never made me feel guilty if life has got in the way and I haven't been able to find this time. I always come away from our half hour lesson feeling relaxed and positive. I'd recommend Monique's lessons to any adult learner who wants to re/discover music in their life.

Monique has been Teaching my son for the last 4 years. She has taken him from Grade 1 AMEB to A Diploma at Trinity. My son is 2 exceptional and Monique has been able to challenge him as well as keep him focused.Monique has awesome patients and is able to think out side the box to keep my son engaged. We would totally recommend Monique as a Music Teacher.

I've learnt the flute off and on for many years. For the past two years I've had the great fortune of being taught by Monique. She has been exceptional at tailoring her teaching to me, and keeping me engaged and challenged week-to-week. This is the best progress I have made, and I could not have done it without her! Monique is a brilliant clarinet teacher. I am an absolute beginner, but Monique has been nothing but encouraging, and patient. She has always actively listened to my concerns, offered corrective feedback, and quality instruction. I consider myself very fortunate to have Monique for my clarinet teacher.
