Chris took great care of me. Honest about pros and cons as well as delivery dates. Great communications and delivered as promised.Had to update my review. 2 stars are for Chris and the sales team. -3 stars is for the service department. You call and call but they never call you back. You ask to speak to a manager - they don't call you back. You ask for a name - tough luck. I no longer recommend Skoda to people. If you live in Parramatta then you are fine but getting your car serviced anywhere else is just too hard.

I purchased a brand new Skoda from this dealer in June 2019. Dale, the sales representative was friendly, very professional and made the transaction seamless – a pleasure to deal with and not at all pushy as car dealers can often be.I wish the same could be said for the after-sales service. My experience following a small warranty claim proved to be a disappointing one. Although the issue has since been resolved and my warranty claim now honoured, this only occurred after repeated phone calls and finally escalating my complaint to the after-sales manager at Thomson Skoda. It created a whole lot of stress and time lost on my part to reach that point for what could have been a relatively inexpensive, and painless solution for the dealer.Here is my experience:Whilst simply cleaning my car, the passenger side floor mat tore unexpectedly when shaking it out to remove loose debris and dust. It is the original OEM Skoda mat which came with the car. The mats were not shaken violently and I am not a strong or muscly build. They are machine bound on the edges and would require significant strength to tear by hand.I raised the issue with Thomson Skoda at my first vehicle service and was assured that it would be passed onto the Skoda Australia team for review under warranty as what was clearly a manufacturing defect, albeit an unusual one. I am very fastidious when it comes to looking after my car and have never had anything sharp near the mats to cause such damage to them.I had to continually chase up what was happening as there was no communication from the service department. After several weeks, I was told that Skoda Australia had denied the warranty claim, stating improper care or misuse. Considering the age of the vehicle and only 4,000km mileage, this was a disappointing outcome since the driver’s side mat (which is evidently used more often than the passenger side) did not have any signs of wear or damage at all.The Senior Service Advisor promised to review my case internally with the Dealer Principal. This, however, did not happen. After doing some of my own investigation online, I found examples of other Skoda owners who had only recently encountered an almost identical fault with their floor mats. When I called back the Senior Service Advisor to let him know about this finding, I was met with hostility and spoken to as if I was an annoyance. The exact words were: “What do you want? Why are you ringing me again? Stop calling me. If there is something to report I said I will call you”. I was also told that he had not interest in something posted on a forum and would not take it into consideration.Definitely not the kind of customer service you expect after having spent close to 45K on a new vehicle. Since my case appeared to be falling on deaf ears and was not being taken seriously, I wrote a one-page typed letter of complaint to the service department and this is the four-sentence response I received a week later:“I am responding to you in regards to your previous email. After further action was taken and contact to the Skoda Australia team was made. Unfortunately, Skoda Australia has denied assistance. Your welcome to contact Skoda Australia if you need any further clarification.”The email did not address a single concern raised.After further persistence, I finally received a call from the After-Sales Manager at Thomson Skoda who contacted Skoda Australia by phone requesting a review of my warranty claim. It was only after this that I received a favourable outcome with Skoda Australia agreeing to honour a replacement floor mat under warranty.Whilst the sales experience overall was a positive one, I sincerely hope that this feedback is taken on board by Thomson Skoda. There is clearly a major need for improvement in after-sales customer care so that this kind of issue does not occur again.

When I bought the car it was very good and service was great then they changed hands with mechanical part of the department and sales moved to another location we took our car there for service because it broke down 3 year old broke down they also lost our service history on the car couldn’t show us the first few services also asked to see what they done all they showed was a video of the mechanic saying what it needs what’s wrong with it nothing showed with what’s been changed. I would never buy another Skoda ever again bad services rude mechanic

Chris in sales was awesome.. that's where it ended..Car was not ready for pick up at time organised. I sat there while they finalised everything on the car, 45 mins. I was called over to get my car and as I stood there the bow was put on the car. Kind of killed a bit of the new car vibes.1st complimentary service after 1000km, service team scratched rims, after some back and forth finally agreed to fix.1st service and was told on the phone that the electrical faults would only take a small bit of extra time to fix. On the day of service, was told to come back late arvo after dropping off 1st thing. No loan vehicle or anything. I was meant to wait for this to be completed. Had to cancel the electrical fault finding.Skoda dealerships arent everywhere so have to travel some time to get to them. Terrible service..

Very positive customer experience with Thomson Skoda. I initially enquired about the car online. The salesperson (Chris Lee Tan) followed up and was very helpful - she even brought the car over to me on a public holiday for a test drive. She was knowledgeable and friendly - and not at all pushy. I loved the car, so we the transaction remotely and the whole process form the people at Thomson Skoda was efficient and quick. The car was delivered ahead of schedule and again, Chris delivered the car to me (saving me a 2 hour return trip to Parramatta), complete with red ribbon and personalised cards for my kids - great service and attention to detail. Very happy with the experience and the car. Highly recommended.
