About the Business
Glenrowan Heritage Precinct - DCCEEW | National Heritage List inscription date 5 July 2005 I do not pretend that I have led a blameless life, or that one fault justified another, but the public, in judging a case like mine, should remember that the darkest life may have a bright side. Glenrowan Historic Precinct
This site is such an important site to do with the Siege. There are ‘pole people’ of the police at the police shoot out site and 2 of the ladies near the train station who were on the police special train I believe wives of 2 of the police from Melbourne. The pole people are in bad need of attention. They have been there many years. Hopefully the Victorian government will make improvements to this area some time. With the amount of people who come here to visit every year and such a special place of significance something more needs to be done. Some native trees planted like they would have been in 1880, and more and new pole people or something like that to show how chaotic the scene would have been at the time. The signs are great in telling you the story. And the replica train station building is very special.

We spent an hour walking around the historic site. The best part is that it is free.
