Disappointing Disappointing Disappointing that’s all I can say about LightFoot Engineering.After dropping my wheels off to get respoke in March 2022, they still were not ready in early June, I called to see when they would be ready and was told by Phil in 2 weeks’ time, after 3 weeks went by I then called again just to be told that they were still not ready, so after 4 months I picked the wheels up the same condition as I dropped them off.Not even a progress update calls over the 4 months.Worst customer service.

The most inept wheel builder I have ever had the greater misfortune to unfortunately experience. Phil DeGruchi at Lightfoot Wheels & Engineering totally destroyed my brand new pair of beautiful Borrani rims by drilling the valve stem holes 4.5mm off centre in the rim. I didn't think that would actually would be possible for such a self professed supposed professional wheel builder, but apparently it is. Have a look at the photo that I have attached, the pencil mark that I made on the rear rim is the actual centre line of the rim. To make matters even worse my rear wheel was then assembled with the incorrect amount of hub offset by seven millimeters, again, I didn't think that would be possible for such an experienced and self professed professional wheel builder but it was. He also assembled the front and rear hubs using a wire spoke that was just far too large a wire gauge diameter for the hole diameter in the hubs causing the spokes to be actually bent over each other under considerable tension when fully assembled. Yes, BENT OVER each other. Very dangerous for the long term longevity and reliability of the hubs, spokes and wheel assemblies. In all, a completely incompetent wheel builder. Customers you need to be very wary of this wheel builder.

Highly recommended, many, many years of experience shows in the quality of work. I wouldn't go anywhere else to get spoked wheels fixed/rebuilt.

Small shop in a private garage, colourful proprietor, and my wheel was meticulously checked and trued.Important: don't bring the bike, just the wheel(s), and don't be surprised if you learn something new about naval history.

I asked for respoke of rim and new tyre. He ordered the wrong tyre, and tried to say it was my fault. luckily it was on email.also I specifically stated rim lock was needed, to which he refused to put on,. Stating it would handle bad. I subsequently put it on myself.Overall workmanship was good, customer service needs improvement.If you want run of the mill work, he isn't bad. if you want outside the square, consider someone else.

Fantastic service, extensive experience and highly recommendable. I had a 21” front KTM wheel which I thought was as ready for the bin, Phil managed to salvage the rim and true it saving me 100s of dollars. He gave me a honest quote options and had the rim completed within a week. Would highly recommend.
