Quite a nice little park which you can walk around and learn about Australian war history particularly the Kokoda Trail

We have been coming to this Reserve for a few years now. It is off Homebush bay drive road and has bay views. Kakoda track is right next to the Reserve. Area is very popular and attracts huge crowds on weekdays and weekends. BBQ facilities are available onsite and has a lot of open grassed area. For kids, the Reserve has a sand pit along with two play areas. Visitors need to be mindful of the water as there is no protective barrier.

Family friendly park with a very beautiful scenery. Kids can play with nice view and a playground. I've seen families celebrating kid's birthday and barbeque with friends. There is plenty of parking and if using bus or train, it is just in the corner. With Italian Restaurant nearby. Recommended *****

The park is currently under construction development. The sea view is limited, however kids play ground, BBQ areas and other amenities are still accessible.

Very nice place - a must visit, let me break down the review into key parts.Parking: Initially my concern was parking but there are a lot of parking places within the park, some of them are 3 hours only so be careful if you plan to spend more time there.Train: its a 2 min walk from Rhodes station so train is not an issueSeating: There are nice seating areas available for couples and families alike. Even if its sunny these places are covered in shade so you can still enjoy an amazing breeze.Barbecue: If you plan to have a barbecue with 20 people or more even that can be held under the trees. The areas have coal specific bins so no issues.Toilet: Toilets and water to drink is available so that's good as well.Kids: Covered space for kids and open space for toddlers, they are spread apart which is good, this way toddlers and older kids both can enjoy the park. Sandpit with a number of rides is also present.Food: There is an Italian restaurant right on the premises so you can grab something to eat, but remember this is pricey food and not take away stuff. Also if you take food from home be careful of the birds that try to pick your food.In short, its a nice place with all the required facilities of a reserve - must visit.

Definitely worth the visit and walk along the Kokoda Trail - especially on ANZAC Day when the wreaths are there in tribute. The trail itself is a nice walk - not too strenuous. Lots of photo opportunities too. Make sure you stop and read all the signs along the way to get a taste of history.

I loved walking around the park especially the Kokoda Memorial track. Such a great place to learn about the history of the Kokoda Trail and a great tribute to all of the soldiers who served there.

Great little area with everything you need to have a great time. As you arrive you enter a carpark with plenty of space and a view of the river. A decent size children's playground to keep them occupied as well. Toilet facilities provided too though not the best maintained unfortunately.

The waves as dark as midnightSleek and wavy, trailing down. They splash as pale as moonlightProjects a silvery glow all around. The night so cool and quiet,As the stars twinkle in the sky.And all of nature stands in awe,As this beauty passes by.This was the experience we encountered one evening at this park."
