Rick Stein at Bannisters
The restaurant itself was beautiful with a serene ambiance. Service was good and my party enjoyed the entrees - fresh oysters, sashimi and macadamia vongole followed by fish mains. My trout with truffle infused sauce was melt in the mouth. The desserts by comparison were rather unexciting. I suppose we could have chosen other than the rosewater pannacotta and creme caramel and will choose different desserts if another opportunity to dine here comes about

Magnificent. The taste was perfect. Hubby seemed to think the Indonesian chili resembled a similar taste as my cooking does. But I can’t make food to this caliber. The fish pie was delicious and not a pie as such. It’s a little bit expensive than the other restaurants around town but tastes a little better than they do too. Save the occasion for a something special like we did.If this old flight attendant could make a suggestion… serve the bread warmed. It just adds a tiny touch of that international first class dinning experience…

All seafood lovers must come here. Fresh and absolutely delicious. Warm shellfish dish and squid ink risotto were the highlights! The curry fish was also very tasty. Desserts did not stand out as high, tiramisu was oddly (supposed to be?) dry, but the Croatian rozata was nice.

This place was a disappointment. The dishes were way too fishy and to my shock they were fairly bland. Does Rick Stein himself endorse these dishes or create them? I would not come here again, the prices are not worth it. I think they are striving too hard to be a fine dining place. Order the risotto, snapper and a soup with curry leaves. On the positives, service was good and the location is amazing.

Beautiful setting & space. The staff were all professional, friendly & attentive. The food was overall excellent and fantastic quality. The only slight let down was the thick rubbery skin on the snapper which was a little overcooked. Overall so lovely & only pointing this out for feedback as we all absolutely loved dining there. The cocktails are amazing & a lovely wine list also.

Can't fault this great venue. Classic Rick Stein with the great location and amazing seafood.Staff were great and very accommodating with kids.Be sure to take a walk along the pier and beach to walk off the amazing food you've just had.Highly recommend Rick Stein at Bannisters if you're in the area!

Our waiter, Connor, was most professional and we thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience. The food was very good. Whilst nothing ‘wowed us,’ we did appreciate the care taken with fresh ingredients. However, we both felt that the menu needed a bit more excitement. The fact that one of the waitresses spilt coffee everywhere could have been handled better, but she was most apologetic. Loved the room, location and views. Reasonably priced given the high standard. Will recommend to our family and friends."

Rick Stein at Bannisters
We had a high expectations for dining at this restaurant and we were not disappointed. It has it all. Fine food, extensive wine menu, wonderful service and amazing garden view. Just a tiny criticism, the sashimi presentation was a little underwhelming but nonetheless everything on the plate was fresh. Definitely a-must visit restaurant if you're in the area.
