ProDive Open Water CertificateThe team at ProDive were all super professional and knowledgeable, but still peppered in lots of humour during their teachings. You can really tell that every single person that works there actually loves their job. I'd especially like to shout out our instructor Daniel, who managed all our newbie stresses really well, and did such a good job keeping us comfortable and relaxed at all times.Some of my own personal highlights during my first 4 dives:- 1,5 m Wobbegong shark chilling under a big rock- a tender hand/tentacle moment between an octopus and our instructor- a very curious Blue Grouper who followed us around, waiting for someone to grab him an urchinOverall, there really is no doubt in my mind that I'll be back to do more dives with ProDive!

I did the Open Water dive course this weekend and had an absolute ball! I'd never scuba dived in my life and now I can't wait to get back out there. My instructor Kevin was so calming, knowledgeable and so much fun...we also got a free life guru for the weekend, so what more could you ask for!Day 1 in the water starts in the pool with the swim/treading water test and practicing the safety skills in shallow and deep water. Kevin took his time explaining everything in detail and moving through the skills at a good pace....no rush :-)In the afternoon we went to Malabar beach and my fear crept in but Kevin pulled me back to a zen-like state and I'm so happy I listened to him and pushed through.Day 2 in the water we went to Gordons Bay. We did 2 dives. First dive we finished the remaining safety skill tests. Again Kevin was just amazing at keeping us calm and relaxed and guiding us through the skills. I was so happy to get that final fist bump to confirm all was good and no more tests! We finished the day with a chill and relaxing open water dive before going back to Pro Dive for our certification and BBQ.Can't recommend these guys enough. Just a great team. Thank you so so so much Kevin, Daniel, Ralph & Pedro. You are all superstars!

Most incredible and rewarding experience! We're already talking about our next holiday where we can make use of our open diver certification. Ralf was our diving instructor and he was one of the best aspects of our whole experience. A calm and clear communicator with a great sense of humour - he put us all at ease and ensured we had a fun time. We were inspired hearing about his diving adventures. Over the course of the weekend we did four dives which were all at great locations here in Sydney, all very accessible. We loved every moment

I feel compelled to share my unfortunate experience with PRODIVE Dive Shop to prevent others from falling into the same trap. My brother and friend recently enrolled in their diving program, paying the full amount upfront and completing the online courses diligently. However, the actual training turned out to be a complete disaster.When they arrived at the swimming pool, they were unexpectedly subjected to a rigorous test, which they unfortunately failed. It's important to emphasize that the purpose of enrolling in a dive shop is to receive proper training and guidance, especially for individuals like my brother and friend who have limited prior diving experience. They went to PRODIVE Dive Shop with the expectation of being taught and guided through the necessary skills, rather than simply being subjected to a pass-or-fail test. It is disheartening that instead of providing comprehensive instruction, the dive shop prioritized a strict evaluation process that did not consider their limited background knowledge and experience in diving.It's disheartening to learn that this company uses false advertising and tricks unsuspecting individuals into spending their hard-earned money without delivering on their promises. The diving community is relatively small, and it's disappointing to witness such unscrupulous practices within it, as it discourages potential enthusiasts from pursuing their passion.I personally contacted PRODIVE Dive Shop to inquire about the situation and requested that they provide my brother and friend with another opportunity to complete the training in open water. Shockingly, they outright denied my request and showed no intention of rectifying the situation or addressing their failure.I urge anyone considering PRODIVE Dive Shop to think twice before making any financial commitments. This establishment seems to be solely interested in deceiving people and profiting from their hard-earned money. Falling victim to their scam would leave you with nothing but a bitter experience and a drained wallet.By sharing this review, I hope to shed light on PRODIVE Dive Shop unethical business practices and help others avoid the same fate. Let's protect our diving community from such exploitative ventures and support reputable and honest establishments that genuinely care about their customers' satisfaction and success.Please, stay away from PRODIVE Dive Shop. Save your money, time, and passion for diving by seeking out alternative options that truly deliver on their promises. Together, we can ensure that others don't fall into this deceptive web and have an enjoyable and rewarding diving experience.

I’ve just completed my open water certification with Pro Dive Alexandria.Our instructor Pedro from Portugal did a great job in making the course a fun but professional experience. I was well guided in the entire process from theory to ocean dives, and the bbq at the end of the course was a nice social touch to round things out and share experiences with my course mates.I’ll definitely be booking in for the advanced course and further dives with the Pro Dive team.Well done.

I was very apprehensive going into the course, particularly about breathing. I left the course without any worries and excited to dive. Our instructor, Bruno, was great at making us feel safe and in tune with everything going on around us. He showed a lot of patience when we needed it, and pushed us when we were ready. Especially when it came to slippery/wavy shore launches, Bruno was on top of making sure everyone made it into the water safely and was comfortable before helping the next student. During our dives, he had some great wildlife spots and made sure that our whole group could take a look before moving on. All of the other instructors were kind, helpful, and supportive as well. Would definitely recommend!
