Superb customer service! Quixotic Books went above and beyond to assist this Melburnian in finding the cherished childhood books that I have spent a couple of decades searching for. Quixotic Books' online book query form is a very useful tool, and Toby is responsive, helpful, and informative to search queries. A first class online book-buying experience. I will be using this service again, and I look forward to visiting the physical shop when I next go to Tasmania :)

We had the absolute pleasure of stumbling across this unique little book store yesterday. It absolutely made our day to have found this wonderful space. We are so excited to read our little stash of treasures. So many interesting genres, titles and authors, some that we hadn't seen in years - and a serene reading room with complimentary herbal tea as well!We know it will be the high point of our visits to Town to stop in and see new titles are there or what Toby can recommend.Well done on creating this marvellous place, it's clear that it has been a labour of love and it warmed our little cockles to visit.

Seriously the best book shop I've ever been into. It's like breath of fresh air on a spring morning.There is nothing worse than going into a bookshop and seeing all the exact same books on the shelf that you've seen in every other book store you've ever been into. This WILL NOT happen to you at Quixotic Books. Instead you'll be checking you bank balance to see how many of these unique and interesting titles you can afford to take home with you.Seriously, get there and check it out!

Toby was fantastic to deal with. He actually found two copies of the rare book I was searching for and patiently helped me consider the pros and cons of each. It's a genuinely great sense of joy to once again have a copy of this book I had long lost.

I went into Quixotic in January this year looking for a hiking book that had gone out of print, it wasn't available anywhere but they took my number anyway. This morning (late November) long after I had forgotten going in I get a call to let me know the reprint is now out in bookshops. Unreal level of customer service.

As others have said and the owner explained to us when we visited this wonderful bookstore - you won’t find the majority of these books elsewhere. This bookstore specialises in titles that are harder to find / not in stock. That isn’t to say that these books are obscure either - the store is amazingly laid out with a wide variety of great fiction and non fiction reads. It also has a great little themed room - when we visited it had chess-related books with a chess set and fireplace laid out. A must for all book lovers visiting Tasmania.
