Dickson Laundry

I've been to about 6 different laundrettes in my life - admittedly all in Melbourne.This laundrette works differently to every other laundrette I've ever been to. The lady at the desk seemed very grumpy with me for simply needing clear instruction on what to do.There are no signs in this laundrette. There is absolutely nothing to tell you what the prices are or what to do.Only a grumpy person at the desk who can't be bothered explaining it to you, seemingly.The machines have no where to put your laundry liquid or powder in so you have to pour them directly on your clothes. This goes against manufacturer's instructions the vast majority of the time.Yes the lady did have to repeat herself once to me however when I've worked in customer service you often have to repeat yourself eight times. I'm still not allowed to sound grumpy!Save yourself the trouble. Skip this one.

I am extremely fond of Indian cuisine. But after the fiasco with the spilt Tilapiah Curry that ruined the engagement shirt gifted by my wife; I was apprehensive about trying Indian and also feared that my favourite shirt was a goner!This was till I had stepped through the doors of Dickson Laundry. After my shirt came back from the dry cleaning process I couldn’t believe that not only had the stain disappeared but the fabric was intact!That was a year ago; Dickson Coin-Op Laundry has my back so I can gorge on my favourite foods with impunity!

Being a father to an energetic 3 year old boy does not come without its costs. Getting dirt on my trousers and t-shirts had become a part and parcel of our weekends.At some point I grew weary of having to repurpose my favourite t-shirts to wear out, for indoor wear, because after the sheer number of times I threw it in the laundry basket, most of them lost their lustre.With Dickson Co-Op Laundry on my side though, I never had to look back again on behaving extra rambunctious in the sand-pit with my little tyke! The sink was completely blocked, which meant i had to use the commercial washer. The laundry then charged me $7 for the pleasure, despite failing to maintain their own facolities. Can't select rinse or spin cycles on machine, worst laundry ever

I have been coming to Dickson laundromat for several years. I use the washing machines and dryers. There are plenty of them and the ones I've used work well.Lorna who works there is lovely and is always willing to help.

My first time here and i came in at 3.20 on a saturday arvo, there arent many laundromats in canberra and i wamted to dry sheets on a rainy day. I was met with 'you wont have time, its a 35 to 40 min cycle'...which meant there was time but they just didnt want me hanging around close to shutting time. Not a heaps nice community feeling, i hope i can find a laundromat somewhere around that cares for their customers.

The happiness over being the maid of honour at my bestie Karen’s wedding dissipated pretty much after the cake-smearing session. The red velvet cake I came to cherish so much did not look good dripping crumbs off my corset! I had breathed a big sigh of disappointment accepting I may not be able to wear the pretty dress again.But then my pals dragged me down to Dickson Coin-Op Laundry.That dress now seats nicely, laundered, in my wardrobe, and I thank Dickson Laundry every time I hear the chink sound after inserting the coin”

It's good - exactly what I'd expect from a coin operated laundromat. No issues.

Horrendous! Dropped off two items for dry-cleaning. Extremely unpleasant woman who served me, it seemed like it was all a massive inconvenience for her. Was told there was a five-day wait to get them back. Sadly I was too lazy to go elsewhere...Went back five days later to collect, and told that the eftpos machine 'wasn't working today' as the same unpleasant lady eyed, what I imagine was a fully functional, eftpos machine next to her. I guess it was a 'cash only day'.While I don't usually go to the dry-cleaners for the conversation, this was next level rude. A pretty awful place - try find somewhere else.

It is what it says on the sign - coin op laundry. Good machines. Open normal hours again. Lovely lady on the counter.
