Both my wife and I love this place. We always order the 72-hour broth Pho, truly authentic Vietnamese cuisine. If you love real Vietnamese food, you must try the Surfing Lizard! Service is mostly online which takes away from the really friendly people who work there... but does allow them efficiencies I suppose. Still as good as ever.

I had been a few times. Took my husband. He was in awe of his big breakfast. I had the pulled lamb and potato rosti. Both amazing and very filling. Thank you

The ambiance were great and dog friendly no doubt about that. The staff were helpful and friendly. I reckon their list of food are yummy according to the reviews. However I’m quite disappointed with the chicken pho that I’ve ordered it looks yummy but when I’ve tasted it it’s so bland it lacks some herbs and savory taste and pricey. I reckon it would be nice to have a beef pho as well in the menu.

Had lunch here and we were very impressed with the food. We ordered the salad with chicken, the rice noodle soup with mushrooms and the pancakes. All were well presented and very tasty. I’d definitely go back and try the breakfast dishes next. It was a very cold spring day but I was still surprised at the amount of people that braved the weather to be present at this cafe.

Great vibes. Efficient and friendly team. Breakfasts go till 3 pm. Had an Acai Bowl and it was the best ever. Small area inside for dining and large dining area outside. Underneath there are showers for those who come from the beach. Recommend.

Very good food, great flavours with asian twist, even the big breakfast as a little extra on it.The setting is very much relaxed beach/outdoors, park benches or wooden booths, beach casual.Staff and service is ok, but when busy a bit slow. Order at the counter.If you were to be going or coming from the beach it's a good stop off.

Finally, we were able to pay a visit at Surfing Lizard - Coogee and we couldn’t wait for the next time that we could get there with the entire family! We had a very pleasant experience, and the food we had was beautiful.I love Vietnamese Pho. So when I saw in their menu list that they have it, I didn’t think twice and ordered straight away. The lady at the counter gave me a heads-up that they had chicken in their pho. I hesitated as it was my first time having it in chicken, I always expected beef. But I was given reassurance that the soup was beef broth, so I gave it a go.Oh my! That was the most delicious Pho I’ve had in my life! They call it, “Mum’s Chicken Pho”. My husband and I ended up ordering a total of THREE BOWLS after we tasted one! Coming back soon!
