Came here on a recommendation and it was lovely! Staff were very hospitable and offered dish recommendations. Ordered the crispy pork belly which tasted delicious with the stir fry vegetables. The stir fry pork noodles were also super, as the coriander and chilli flavours shone. We finished off with crispy prawns which were deep fried that we could also eat the shell. Delish!

Have been told many times to try Samgasat, so we finally did and were not disappointed! We had the crunchy prawns, vege/tofu coconut curry and whole fish and they were all delicious! The whole fried fish came highly recommended from a friend and it was absolutely beautiful. It was also very! busy for a rainy Tuesday night which is a testament to their food and service :)

Went on a Tuesday night and it was still busy - definitely book ahead! It was incredible! Chick Kow Soy was so flavourful, the whole crispy fried fish was amazing and had such a great sauce. Staff were so friendly. Will be visiting every chance I get when in Cairns.

The BEST Thai place in Cairns. The dishes are always so fresh and full of flavour. If you bring in your own whole fish, they cook it for you in the most delicious way. Highly recommend. One of my favourite restaurants in Cairns.

It is a bit brand new style Thai restaurant to me. The taste and the choice of foods are totally different style compare to other traditional menu. We are a Thai foods fan. We had been tried so many different Thai restaurant, the different menu option were surprise us and it actually delicious too!

Im laying here at home after dinner thinking I shouldn't have had the last mouthful as I am SO full but it tasted so damn good I couldn't leave any behind. The Kow Soy curry of Chicken was honestly 5 stars. I can't fault it. You must try it.

More spaces outdoors seating and indoor so much better now. We still love our dinner the same menu every time. Prawns Crunchy is amazingly delicious and Stir Fry Vegetarian also splendid. Will try new menu next time for sure. Great smiley staffs are plus points. Keep up the good work!

Love this hidden gem! The quality of food, amount of food, and customer service is what keeps us coming back every single time. Yes, you do have to wait a little bit to get your food due to it always being busy but, it's always well worth it. Our favourites are the market price fish, chicken koi soi, and roasted ducked with coconut rice. Such great value, 10/10 recommend!

We had been recommended to try Samgasat. We were disappointed. Whilst the place and the service were excellent, the food was disappointing. The aroma and fragrance of Thai cooking was missing as was the lush flavours. The beef ribs were tender but looked like there was something missing on the plate the way it was served. The roast duck was nice but the sauce it was in was bland and flavourless. The jasmine rice was almost gluggy. We actually thought the mixed entree was store bought which was disappointing. There are great Thai restaurants around Cairns but I'm not sure this is one of them.

Came here for dinner during the week. It was surprisingly busy, so I definitely recommend making a booking. Fried whole fish is a specialty dish and it looked amazing! We opted for ribs, prawns and soup. All were delicious, although the soup broth was quite spicy. Friendly service and reasonable prices. Would eat here again.
