Our Medical North Lakes

It is good that they do bulk billing and have walk inBut now I think better to have an appointment system because at least I would be knowing the time when I should visit the centre . I don’t want to come home early and then wait 1-3hours sacrificing my family time just to know at the end that doctor has already left . How come system then allowed me to book him in the first place!!!!It would be great if they ( they have an app ) can tell us what is my queue position and expected wait time . At least I can go to shopping centre and utilise time more efficiently rather just waiting here. The receptionist should be in position to advise. But they never answer that properly.

These guys are amazing! I came in with my partner who had a cut on his face requiring stitches and it was a really great experience. I’m not sure if we got lucky or if it’s the usual but we had very minimal wait time compared to what we expected, the staff were lovely and Megan at reception was extremely kind and helpful!

Lesley on reception was fantastic this evening. Despite it being really busy, she was super friendly and so helpful about the wait times. A real asset to the practice

I arrived first thing in the morning waiting for the doors to open as I was in excruciating pain I even told the receptionist of this and was told I would be first seen. 4 more patients came in and the doctor was taking everyone else but me, I asked the receptionist again how long it would take and she said your next. Again another patient was taken in, I was crying from pain and couldn’t deal with it anymore it was either walk to the nurse or just call an ambulance myself, I managed to slowly walk to the nurse and explain the situation. The Nurse was incredible and laid me down on the bed and called the doctor. This is not the only time I’ve had a bad experience either, especially when I went in for my heart and he only did my blood pressure told me I was fine, he was very rude and told me to leave, two days later I was diagnosed with low blood pressure and an arrhythmia. I hope this place gets shut down or new management takes over.

I took my six month old to this clinic on a Saturday afternoon as she needed to be seen for a severe ear infection which could not wait until our usual GP appointment on a weekday.The receptionist was lovely and very helpful registering my daughter as a new patient. She also communicated it would be about an hour and a half wait (which I thought was reasonable for a busy Saturday afternoon!) and she was spot on.My daughter was seen by Dr Anthony Mahler who was kind, empathetic and thorough.Honestly, I've never experienced this kind of service or care from any large bulk billing out of hours clinics in Brisbane. My sincere thanks to the staff and Dr Mahler.

Leslie from our medical is a sensational receptionist, she was so polite, kind and caring and was very empathetic towards my situation. She went above and beyond. Highly recommend this practice. Thank you again Leslie.

The wait may be long sometimes but I am so grateful that are they open on the weekends, don’t require appointments, and still bulk bill. Even though I waited two and a half hours, I walked out smiling and feeling really taken of by Dr Jelica. She is amazing and definitely worth the wait!Please be kind to the doctors - they would easily be at private clinics charging and only taking appointments!

Visited today. Was signed in, waited for an hour. Went back to the front desk to enquire about the progress, was told by the other receptionist I am not in the queue, they put me in the queue and advised that there were 40 patients ahead of me. Told them I'm going out for a bit, will return soon cause surely it won't be my turn anytime soon. Then came the standard reply that if I missed my turn, they won't put me back in the queue because they weren't accepting any more patients for the day.Realising that1. Today was not my lucky day and I probably shouldn't buy lottery tickets.2. Neither is it the fault of Our Medical, there are very few bulk billing clinics in the area and so really, it is a problem of not having enough supply. I will be contacting my local member who may not be aware that Australians are waiting for 3 to 4 hours for medical care, which is lost time and productivity. It seems that when it comes to medical services, residents of North Brisbane have too little to choose from. I'm glad I didn't have to go to the emergency room, but so many others might have no other option.

Could not be happier with the care that we have received at Our Medical North Lakes. My daughter has needed care after 8pm twice now and Leslie the amazing practice manager has always greeted us with a smile and compassion. The doctors we have seen were thorough and professional. We are lucky to have a service like this in our community.

I’ve been here a few times now.I come in with expectations in understanding that they are bulk billing and services are limited at times. I do not expect the best service from them ever.I’m saying this, they are awesome for when I need a quick prescription update or have a minor medical issue or concern. The doctors I have personally visited, Dr Helen and Dr Ryan have both been very quick with their delivery but still answer all my questions in a manner that I can understand.Wait time: always be prepared to wait to see a doctor. I have been lucky once to see a doctor after 30 minutes. But ever since, my average waiting time is anywhere between 1-3 hours. (Bring a book maybe or have your device charged to read news or watch shows. whatever helps pass this time).Also be aware that sometimes they get so busy that they can’t accept anymore patients for the day.
