Shaw Wines

We enjoy Shaw wines and know they are good (hence still giving a 3 ⭐️) but this was our first time stopping in at the cellar door for a tasting. Perhaps there were staffing issues due to the holiday period but we were seated for 15 min for a tasting without any service and the few other tables around us were also not receiving any service. Needless to say, we walked out without tasting or purchasing. In contrast we had exceptional service at the next 2 wineries we visited.

Picturesque outlook with fantastic wine. Charming and witty young lady as a host whose reflections on the drop and the Australian market were insightful and clever. Fantastic whites and reds on the wine tasting list. I go return to Sydney with more wine and new appreciation for their art!

Some very good wines for tasting. We purchased 7 bottles in total. The ambience is good and there is plenty of room to move around in. A little more pressure on sales there but we enjoyed our time.It is worth visiting. Largest winery in Murrumbateman.

Shaw Wines is a lovely estate, the cellar door a substantial modern space and friendly staff. The baclony area over looking the vineyard and their dam, a great spot for a tipple on a sunny afternoon. Or, you can sit inside at one of their tables or lounges by the fire, still with a great view. Shaw have a private tasting room and sell wine merchandise and to take home.Their tastings are free with a good mix of whites, red and also offer tastings of their premium wines which are very savoury. Their core range Shiras was the pick, it was very rich and fruit driven, plums and winter berries. This went down a treat with their charcuterie and cheese platter. There is also a rustic restaurant on side, called Olleyville, servingsmall, medium sized plates, shared meals and pizzas.We enjoyed our visit to Shaw and it is well worth a visit to this winery. One of the nicest outlooks and wineries.

Shaw is a great vineyard - a beautiful tasting room and a lovely selection of high-quality wines. The staff are wonderful and knowledgeable and will talk you through the different wines. I also recommend the platters.The view of the alpacas while wine tasting is just the cherry on top.Our favorite option is to do a tasting then have a leisurely meal at Olleyville - which has a great selection of food, including gluten free options.

Great experience, service was a bit slow with drinks but we were 20 mins prior to food service. Tasty wood fired pizzas and main meat style dishes. Recommend for a relaxing lunch.

Stella local region winery what does great wine tasting sessions in a very relaxed atmosphere. Enjoy a cheese platter along with the wines.There are often exhibitions shown here - indoors and outdoor.Head over to the restaurant and be tantalised by the delicate flavours of the starters such as the buratta or a fuller flavour such as the wallaby tartare.If you're feeling hungry the larger mains are good for sharing - the pork belly or 12 hour slow cooked beef.If you can stretch to dessert, you can be tempted by the coconut Panna Cotta with lemon myrtle, or rhubarb semifreddo.Good number of parking available.

Nice winery with a wide range of wines to try. I tried the cellar door didn't eat here but looks nice. There are Tesla only vehicle charging stations here if you need.

Friendly service. Nice wines. Great views. Informative and knowledgeable staff. Great service for tastings. Also a great spot to sit and watch the sun go down with a glass or two with a cheese platter .
