Roth's Wine Bar + Cellar
Went a VERY BUSY Friday night. We booked. All staff were very friendly, good selection of wines and compliments to the chef, the aracini balls were delicious and the pumpkin and beetroot salad was amazing. I'm vegetarian and have eaten a lot of salads. Overall, a great evening and we enjoyed the live music.

Overall quite disappointed on the food. I think we might have had to high expectations. This place feels like it peaked a few years back.We had the arancini balls, they had nice texture but no flavours. Just seasoning inside would be a simple improvement. We also had the bruschetta that was servered without any olive oil (!), we had to ask for it.The cobs just tasted butter, for some reason I expected them to be bbq’ed but that wasn’t the case.I think the cauliflower was the only thing on the menu that was OK. But nothing more than OK.

Have been looking for local places that make wood fired pizzas and stumbled across Roth’s. We ordered a garlic pizza , a prawn and chorizo and a lamb. All 3 were cooked perfectly and the toppings and seafood were very fresh. Delicious! And we will be back :)

Majority of restaurants were closed for a holiday break at the time we travelled to Mudgee but we found this place accidentally and were glad we did. The food was great, the live music was even better and the setting is absolutely gorgeous. Family friendly too. A must visit when going to Mudgee.

Great gem in Mudgee. Make sure to book. Great food, especially their gluten free selection. Live music on Friday. Nice place for a relaxing catch up with friends.

We enjoyed our meal there. We shared a few different dishes from the Share part of the menu, and they were all delicious.A little weird when you arrive. You're asked to buy your drinks at the bar at the door before going to your table, but after getting our drinks we were left standing there and had to ask to be taken to our table.Liked the decorations and the feel of the venue. Would go back if visiting Mudgee again.

We tried their lamb spring rolls which was yum.Ordered onion rings too which was disappointing, too much batter that I couldn't taste the onions.Had their beef brisket too which was delicious but would probably be better served with chips and not those awful onion rings.And lastly we got their prawn and chorizo pizza which was okay but definitely needed more seasoning of some sort.They have live music Friday and Saturday evening which was nice.Good selection of wines.Overall, it was good.

Shocking service . Great pumpkin salad and Bangladeshi curry , albeit heated up in the microwave (centre )of-the curry was stone cold, Naan bread over salted - in edible. We might have let them know if they bothered to return to the table.Left without a soul noticing.Karaoke style musicVery disappointed after being recommended we attend this venue because of the live music. Perhaps they were just having a bad night.:(

Roth's Wine Bar + Cellar
The modest shop front is hiding a monstrous interior that is really three venues in one. Front bar and bottle shop, dining room and then a live music venue with raised stage and great sightlines. Bottle shop is well stocked but was hoping for more local wines by the glass. A glass of Pinot Gris was served at room temp which isn't ideal but well worth a visit.
