Backbone Drum School

I highly recommend Jack and Backbone drum school, for both young students and adults. Jack is very knowledgeable, patient, dedicated and professional. An excellent teacher and role model to my son, equal parts fun and disciplined, serious about music, skills and tecnique. He clearly hopes students will love the drums as much as he does and wants them to enjoy and master the instrument, too. Jack and the school are accommodating and understanding,which is extremely helpful, something that is often tricky for families juggling routines or people who work away etcThe course's free online resources are generous and other material very reasonably priced. The lessons are excellent value, in a great location. Its a fantastic, cost effective way to learn the drums and to read music and get valuable music exposure. It has really helped my sons strength, focus and coordination, and he enjoys it!Well worth trying a couple of lessons, I'm very glad we did.

Jack has been teaching my son for a long time now. He’s consistent, patient and is managing to inspire my son.We were at a different drum school for a year before finding Jack, I’m so glad we made the move. There is usually parking right out the front of the building too, which is handy.I would recommend Backbone to any budding drummers.

I have been receiving drum lessons for several months here and can't recommend this place enough! Jack is a very kind, professional and incredibly patient teacher who is also an amazing drummer. You can tell straight away how passionate he is, not only about the drums but also about helping students achieve their music goals. His commitment and dedication to the school and it's students is unmatched! Once you come to the school you just know you're in good hands. Can't wait for more drum lessons!

My son & daughter have been doing drumming lessons for nearly two years with Jack. Because of their big age difference, he was patient & understanding of what skill levels both of them have and can cater for each of them differently.
