Love this shop, not only for its fab fruit and veg but all the other tasty goodness - the cheeses, bacon, bread - and a fair few treats! That brownie slab selection.... mmmm! The ready to reheat moussaka is also a winner!We can make entire meals without shopping anywhere else.

This is a wonderful fruit shop in Castlemaine. Not only does it stock very high quality local fruit and veg (check out Uncle Georges apples! Yum!) but they stock a very well though out dry goods, bread, cheese, yogurt, milk, juice, frozen, dips, and a fantastic small goods section.There's rarely things I can't find here.Not only that, but the staff are really friendly, and honestly, if you can't find something - just ask - they really know their stock, and will be able to tell you straight away where things are.I've also been able to get odd things, like big empty jars for my own olives I pickle. Plus good advice on prep of odd things I've not cooked before.Along with this - they also have a fantastic range of homemade goods. The falafel's, lasagne (meat or veg options), the roast vegetable stacks, frittata, the gourmet family pies, and soups. These are really wholesome good fare when I can't get time to cook. Great ingredients, very yum. The vege laksa has got to be my fave.Overall, easily 5 stars. A great local shop in Castlemaine.

An enduring presence in our town. A fantastic range, which is even better since the recent expansion. Their pre-prepared moussaka is AWESOME. More than anything, they are friendly and supportive of their community.

On five separate occasions this store has sold me milk that has turned sour well before it's use-by date. I have had no such problems with any other milk supplier

Really good variety of produce including excellent fruit and veg. Wide selection of cheeses and dips. Prepared meals, irresistible breads and wide selection of pulses and nuts. And friendly service to boot. Won't disappoint.

The best fresh produce around. I drive down regularly from Bendigo just for the homemade dips and specialty foods you can't buy anywhere else. All locally made/sourced, loads of fresh and healthy options. Can't beat!

They have the freshest fruit and vegetables, love shopping there.

It would be nice not to sell stale bread from past days or at least inform customers.
