HG Coffee School - Barista Course Adelaide

A small group of us attended the Introduction to Coffee course on behalf of the business we work for and we had a great time! I’m a long time lover of coffee but had no barista experience and this truly was an introduction class with no prior knowledge needed. In just 3 hours I was feeling so much more confident in both espresso and milk pouring skills and I’m excited to put it into practice in real life. Our trainer, Mel, was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and encouraging. The place is also really beautiful inside I want to go back and try more of their classes just for my own enjoyment! I can’t take credit for the fancy latte art in the first photo (that was Mel’s work) but I’m still proud of my attempts at hearts!

I have now done the Level 2 barista course, and 2 seperate latte art sessions with HG. Anthony’s skills are exceptional, and he presents in a calm, even, and understanding manner. Not to mention he’s an ace bloke, who I have discovered is a legend to have beers with afterwards.I have definitely improved my skills in a significant way since undergoing training at HG. Can’t recommend enough. Great facilities, great training, great people.

I found the Level 1 Barista course with HG Coffee school, insightful and rewarding. Having no experience with making coffees, I left feeling enthusiastic and confident that our newly purchased coffee van would be successful due to the training we had with our instructor Mel. Looking forward to doing more training course days with this company. A professional instructor, relaxed, clean environment, I highly recommend.

I went to HG School of Coffee, and it was awesome. The teachers were smart and loved coffee, making the classes fun. We got a lot of hands-on experience with the machines, and it helped me feel more confident in my abilities. I got a job only one week after completing the course so it really paid off. The Barista Level 1 & Food Safety Training was the best Fathers Day gift I could have received. Having recently purchased a home espresso machine, and my wife not feeling the good coffee vibe with my initial creations, this course pleased everyone.I was blown away with the super modern facility and the multiple, professional espresso machines for students to learn on. Everything needed was supplied in abundance.The comprehensive learning was facilitated by an industry professtional trainer who lives and breathes quality coffee. His enthusiasm, support and reassurance throughout the day ensured I learned the art of making coffee at my pace. A truly awesome experience.Below is an example of my creations. I call them the love heart cappucino and the cauliflower latte.

I went and completed the basic coffee art class ran by Thorn. It was in depth & a lot of fun. I would definitely like to do another art class & take some friends with me next time. Highly recommend this company to all coffee lovers.

Couldn’t recommend HG coffee school enough. I did the level 1 and 2 plus latte art. I had Anthony (Business Manager) for all courses. He is very passionate and charismatic. He’s fantastic at getting everyone involved and learning as much as possible. HG is a must for any aspiring baristas.

I recently attended the level 1 barista course at HG coffee school and loved my experience. Sean ran our class for the day, he was super passionate and enthusiastic about coffee. This made it a very comfortable environment to learn in. The workshop is super clean and well presented. Plenty of on and off street parking. Easy to locate via maps, I will be recommending HG Coffee school to all that I know.

very interesting introductory session, showing all the various types of black and white coffees, how to perfect the grind and pour time. how to get the milk perfect and silky. what machines need for durability and excellent coffee quality. and how Adelaide serves the best coffees. we intended on this course initially just to make good coffees at home but now we are looking into their advanced courses and brewing courses too. excellent time and money well spent.
