I think pet context helps with this one, so I've got 4 lizards that come from different environments. Here is how they've helped me;Bearded Dragon with some metabolic bone disease from a house move, essentially fixed same day with comprehensive aftercare notes.A shingleback rescue with extensive breathing issues.Boyd's dragon hatchlings (check up only).Every appointment and course of treatment has been reasonable and the best part is no dogs or cats to make it more stressful than it needs to be.I've taken some of my lizards to other vets who were good, but after going to Unusual Pets a few times I don't see me going anywhere else for my reptiles.

Dr Daniella was fantastic with my chicken Mildred. She took great care during Mildred's treatment and even gave her some snacks for the car ride home. All the staff were wonderful and we will definitely be back.

I have waited a little while to post this as the outcome of my visit was very sad as I had to put my 8 year old Beardie to sleep.I did want to come on here and post a positive review though because I am so grateful for the care I got from Dr Will. Will saved my Beardie’s life a little over a year ago with an incredibly delicate surgery. His knowledge, skills and empathy both then and more recently was unmatched. He kept me informed every step of the way and did not shy away from difficult conversations regarding quality of life. I absolutely believe that if he could have saved my Beardie this time he would have done everything in his power to do so.I highly recommend this clinic for anyone with an ‘unusual’ pet - Canberra is so lucky to have you and I will definitely be bringing my scaly pets here from now on.

Lettie, our bunny, was checked out thoroughly by Dr William Grech and she has improved out of sight with the right medication which she hates but takes well in half a teaspoon of apple purée (baby food)! She's running around and coming up for pats. She is an older bunny and was in pain from arthritis but is now active and happy.

Incredibly professional and knowledgeable , Dr William took a lot of time to explain our ratties respiratory issues with a treatment plan and a path forward to support her. All staff were friendly and welcoming. Very impressed.

Hands down the best vets I've experienced in 30+ years of looking after fur-baby family members!! From the initial contact through to being greeted by name when we walked in the door, the kindness and professionalism of the whole team has exceeded all expectations! The vets are knowledgeable, kind and thorough; on each occasion going above and beyond - which as relatively new to having ferrets in our family has been incredibly helpful. The follow-up phone calls to check progress and provide the opportunity to ask additional questions has been amazing. As for their pricing - exceptional value. I've paid much higher vet fees, for much less.Hand on heart, The Unusual Pet Vets have surpassed all expectations! There is absolutely no aspect of this business I could fault, I wish I had more words to express my gratitude to them. After 12 months of trying to find an even a quasi-helpful vet for out ferrets, we heard about The Unusual Pet Vets through word-of-mouth and am so glad we made the switch.Truth be told, based on what I know now, had we not found The Unusual Pet Vets, our ferrets' lifespan and quality of life, would have been significantly diminished!So... if you're looking for somewhere you can trust, you've found it!! Don't hesitate...

The specialists at the clinic are fantastic. They really do listen and care about your situation. Having used a number of vets for pet Rats, I felt immediately cared for, and felt there was strong knowledge and dedication. They have a full suite of equipment ready for anything. On this sad day, they did everything they could for my little girl. They let her sister be there, she loved the buffet of food. Gave her oxygen and did all they could. The end of life care was absolutely touching, and helped me to say good bye. I truly can't say enough good about them. The whole team is amazing. My other 2 girls will be in good hands

I've been here twice, with the family budgie who'd had a stroke, and a chook who died on the way. The staff are very caring, and both times helped get an earlier appointment than I had originally booked. The end of life care was very considerate and our euthanized budgie was returned to us in a beautiful little shroud.

We are grateful for excellent support and advice from the team at the Unusual Pet Vets for treating our Eclectus who we thought was egg-bound. Their hospital setup is clean and they had all the medication and diagnostic equipment on hand to provide us with a strong diagnosis. Their after-care follow-ups were also good. Having now seen the difference of x-ray imaging both with and without the contrast dye, it would have been better to have the dye in the first set of images and save a second round of anaesthetic, but I imagine the dye may not be beneficial for diagnosing other issues.
