The best function venue in Melbourne by far! The Blacksmith Bar has a perfect setup for hosting an event. Beautiful bar, gorgeous interior, great atmosphere, seating areas for your guests and a photo booth included! The event organisers are very professional and helpful, and were accommodating from beginning to end. The staff were equally attentive and friendly. The food was amazing and there is a great selection of drinks. Couldn't recommend a better venue for any event.

There's nothing else in Richmond like this place! Super cosy and inviting with basically everything you could ever want on the back bar. My go to place for the newest Macallan releases.

Booked our wedding reception in the function room and the team were absolutely sensational from the get go.Everything was so easy to organise. The night ran like clockwork, the food was delicious and nothing was too much trouble. The waitress serving food found us regularly and made sure we got to try pretty much everything we ordered which was just so thoughtful of her. The fried chicken was a huge highlight! As were the lemon tarts and brownies.All our guests commented on how awesome the space was and how good the staff were.They even accommodated us gatecrashing the downstairs bar for some photos in the beautiful couches.At every stage the whole team have been helpful, responsive and overall just absolute pleasures to deal with. If I could give them more than 5 stars I could.In closing, book your next function with The Blacksmith team, you won't regret it!(Photo from our photographer's sneak peek but the venue is just stunning)

Had our engagement party here, an absolutely fantastic night. The venue is amazing, the staff were great and on top of everything. Food was delicious and a great selection of wines and beers. The Photo Booth is great addition to the venue, and being able to play your own music playlist (eg from Spotify) is very valuable. Will be recommending the blacksmith bar to friends and family who want to host an event/function.

Great cocktails and friendly, knowledgeable staff. What more could you want?I was geeking out with the bar tenders about various cocktails and spirits and they were so happy to talk and share.We had so many cocktails here, each one a winner.The zombie was crazy good!

Amazing atmosphere and great cocktails. Perfect cheeseboards to compliment as well. Staff were great and very accommodating. Great bar in the heart of richmond can't go wrong.

The Blacksmith Bar hosted my 21st and it was the most incredible night. The function room is absolutely gorgeous, and the photobooth is a fun touch. The staff was incredibly considerate and friendly, particuarly Oscar. The communication and planning beforehand was seamless and made the whole process stress-free and fun. With no venue hire fee and awesome food/private bar/private bathrooms, it is the most affordable and classy venue in Melbourne. Would highly recommend to anyone planning to host a party!

Blacksmith Bar is a modern take on 1920's prohibition style bar. It's very comfy with great attention to detail and just a beautiful space. Staff here are friendly and helpful. They have a great drinks list with everything from spirits, wines, beers and cocktails. A really cool vibe and easy to get comfy in and enjoy a few drinks with friends

Attended your venue for a Function upstairs! 5 stars ... but minus 1 star for losing my voice the next day from having to yell at the person 30cm away from me. The venue itself is gorgeous, but acoustically it's just very loud with background music and 40 people talking.

We held our wedding ceremony and reception in the upstairs function space at The Blacksmith and had the best night! Food and cocktails were great, the staff were lovely and helpful, and the room is so beautiful. Having the in-built photo booth is a major bonus, as was being able to provide our own Spotify playlists for different parts of our event. The team at The Blacksmith were a delight to work with in the lead-up and we would highly recommend them if you're looking for a beautiful and intimate wedding venue.
