Gracie Barra tweed heads is such a great school, everyone that attends makes you feel very welcome and at home. Professor Lucas is very knowledgeable, makes you feel comfortable and apart of the community, I would recommend this school to anyone

My son has been going to Gracie Barra Tweed Heads for over a year now! He has the best time at each session with a great group of kids. The skills and confidence he is learning in fitness and self defence will be invaluable for the rest of his life!Definitely recommend, great community!

Great family vibe at GB. My two girls have gained a lot of confidence through their training and Professor Lucas talks a lot about bullying and how to avoid it. Comp training is there when your child is ready to step up. Great family atmosphere, definitely recommend.

Very welcoming environment! Our whole family are now all training and learning together, Saturday parents and kids class is an awesome bonding opportunity. Great moral and self defence fundamentals for kids to learn.Adult classes are very informative with a mixture of coaches at times offering different styles of teaching, fellow students and higher belts are all very accommodating of any skill level and everyone seems happy to help ensure your learning. Can’t recommend Gracie Barra Tweed & Professor Lucas enough!I was encouraged to start my BJJ journey just over a year ago, Professor Lucas was so supportive on my first day & gives the same support & encouragement even a year later.The students I train alongside with have become a second family.Anyone considering trying out BJJ should contact the team and do a trial.It’ll change you for the best!

Had driven past GB tweed heads for ages and knew once my kids were ready to try jiu jitsu that it would be this one we would try, as it looked to be an awesome and professional gym. We signed up for a free trial which was an easy process and they provided a uniform for the class to use during the trial. My son signed up that night. After watching a class my daughter also decided to do a trial then also joined. Ever since my 2 eldest have been coming twice a week and really look forward to coming and they have great fun, learn jiu jitsu, self discipline, get some exercise and practise in a group and one on one with other team mates. They could choose which colour uniform they would buy too between white , blue or pink. Gracie Barra tweed is run very well and has really nice staff which the kids love. I can even take my 2 year old for a Saturday parents & kids session which is a lot of fun and definitely gets the heart pumping . Professor Lucas threw such a fantastic Halloween party too and the kids had a ball. I would highly recommend GB Tweed heads as it’s a fun, inclusive, friendly, motivating and knowledgeable jiu jitsu gym. The kids are always excited to be working towards their next stripe and belt and the regular classes gives good momentum which means they don’t get bored easily. Very happy to be a part of this family :)

I enrolled my 5 year old son with Gracie Barra Tweed Heads 3 months ago and have never looked back! The Professor’s are amazing and so good with the kids. My boy has gained so much self confidence and courage since starting. He attends class twice weekly and can’t wait to go. Best thing we ever did was to decide to do Jiu Jitsu.
