Mama Cara

After a difficult first birth I decided to hire a doula for my second. I contacted a few doulas who were all lovely but I felt Cara was the best match for us.She has such a calming, down-to-earth energy. Her presence and support (prior and during labour) was exactly what I needed.I was fortunate enough to have an amazing birth experience this time and Cara took some beautiful photos that I absolutely treasure.I would 100% recommend having Cara on your team during your pregnancy and birth.

As first time parents experiencing a complex pregnancy, we were so grateful for Mama Cara's calm support and expertise in the lead up to and during birth, and in the early postpartum days. She helped us through the last weeks of pregnancy, learn about birthing options, and navigate an overwhelming amount of medical advice to work out what would be best for us and our baby. We felt so much safer and calmer with Cara's support and are so grateful she was with us as we brought our daughter into the world.

Cara was caring, calm and supportive throughout our labour at home and at the hospital. She supported us so that we could have the natural birth we wanted.

Cara looked after Felipe and I through our birth of Sunny :) I instantly felt reassured and much more calm as soon as she arrived. As it was the first time I had experienced labour and we were birthing at home, it was important to me that we have someone alongside our midwives to help guide us. Cara fulfilled this role with a warmth and confidence that had us both feeling positive, in control and capable the whole way through. Thankyou for being part of our special day/night, Mama Cara! She also took some wonderful images that I will look back on for years to come!

We used Cara as a doula and a birth videographer and she was amazing. Having her support enabled me to have a dream birth for my second baby, which was SUCH a difference experience to my first. Also incredibly grateful to have the birth captured on video - it's a moment I'll cherish forever and being able to see it again was magic.

Thanks Cara for the antenatal, birth and postpartum support. You being part of the journey with us has made a huge difference in getting a positive birth experience. Because of your support, I also had a positive experience with breastfeeding due to the education you have provided prior the birth which can often be overlooked when focusing too much on the birth itself. The positive experience with breastfeeding has also helped massively with the recovery, as I could focus on myself knowing my baby was feeding well. If I had to go through this experience again, I would do it all over again with you on my team and wish for everything to go as smoothly. I already recommended you to a close friend up on the coast which is planning for a baby in 2023.

Having Cara was what I would call a gift! Our experience with her was absolutely amazing, what I appreciated the most is the beautiful and calm way that she had at every single moment; she definitely has a pure love for what she does, and that is priceless when you decide to let someone to accompany you in this extraordinary journey.The benefits of having Cara with us, are many, but the emotional support that she gave to my husband and I is probably one of the most remarkable thing! Her energy surrounded us at all the time!I would definitely recommend her to a friend and to anyone else the would like to have an extraordinary support during this precious moment.Thanks Cara

Cara was an absolute GEM! Before the birth she was always available to us for ANYTHING big or small. As soon as she arrived for labour, we just felt so much more relaxed, Cara popped out of the shadows just when we needed her and gave us space at the right times too.. Cara somehow managed to take (beautiful) photos with flash during the birth process without us even realising. I have never shown so many pictures of myself to anyone before and it’s just because they are so tasteful and precious!Thankyou Cara you’re an absolute legend! ❤️
