Whitworths Marine & Leisure - Mosman Park

Purchased some wet weather gear at the Mosman Park shop but immediately after purchase I noted that the price shown on the item - $39.95 differed from the price shown on the sale docket - $49.95. I returned to the shop & challenged the apparent discrepancy. The response was that $49.95 was the price & the discrepancy resulted from the shop not updating the price tag. It was obvious that Whitworths would not take responsibility for the error. Very poor customer relations and in my opinion sneaky and unprofessional marketing. Before purchasing anything from this retailer ensure that you are fully aware of the actual price to be charged.

Worst service imaginable, boat winch broke after 5 uses, had to send back to supplier was told three weeks turn around 6 weeks later still waiting, just been informed it hadn’t been sent back so will still be 1-2 weeks away, no boat usage for up to eight weeks. Should of been given a refund or a new one. Staffs attitude they just don’t care, admitted it was a “cock up” but still don’t care. Would never recommend to anyone.

Bunch of old grumpy staff, not sure why they work there, so unhappy. Cannot greet, always got something to say and very unhelpful. Thought I could get through this bad shopping experience, but this time I had enough. Prefer to support local business but will now find my items online.

Possibly the rudest experience ive ever had in shop. Arrogant staff and prices are outrageous. I used to go for convenience of the location but I never will again.

We have been so very disappointed with the service. Staff always act so superior, talking down to us and even act annoyed for wanting to purchase. Recently a staff member berated my husband for wanting to buy too many double loop head blocks. This is because it would have depleted stocks in the store. I'm sorry, correct me if I'm wrong, isn't the purpose of a retail shop to sell things? Anyway, it turned out to be the wrong thing he was trying to sell at a cost of $75 each. So, my husband went home, did all the research and found the part needed online for $30. Thought he'd do the right thing and buy from the store (where it was stocked) rather than buy from an interstate dealer, only to be told We are in the middle of an audit

I called to order a U-bolt on Thursday morning first thing, which I told them I needed ASAP as it was very urgent and needed for Saturday, i asked to order and pay over the phone and to pay for freight at any cost or worst case I’ll drive up from Margaret river that night to buy and pick up Friday as it was urgently needed. They insisted I order it online and promised they would send it that morning express so that I would get it Friday. I couldn’t have stressed enough at how urgent and important it was and they assured me they would send it off that morning. I also left postal comments on the order reminding them of the urgency. I then got an email NEXT day saying they posted it that morning being FRIDAY. I called them Friday morning after receiving the email asking why it wasn’t send Thursday morning as promised. They confirmed it left the store Friday morning (being too late and 24 hours after it was meant to be posted to get to me in time) very unapologetic about it all and super unprofessional..bunch of useless ****’s with no idea.THANKS FOR THAT

The store is great, the products they sell are good. But the advice is sometimes hard to extract from the sales people, you have to really ask ask and ask again instead of being informed. I feel like it's a place you have to know what you want, go in a grab and leave. Any hesitation will leave you wondering around isle to isle with not much guidance or help.

I’m totally changing my review here…the customer service here is abysmal. Someone in upper management must reading these reviews as each time i come out there I’m even more astonished at the rudeness of the staff .My wife refuses to go there. I given 2 ⭐️ as the its a one stop shop for boating. But please try elsewhere first … I went to Yacht Grot today and was fantastic.

Staff act superior, one guy here has been quite good but but I have found more and more frequently I am treated with contempt. With a 1 year old on my hip, I asked if there was a toilet for my 5 year old daughter and was told the nearest place was at the shopping centre a few kilometres away.I went next door and got a key for the exact same toilets out the back.What gets me is some of these people show such disrespect and are blatantly unhelpful. I would really like to know what they have done in their lives to put themselves on such a pedestal.

Fantastic service and great prices. I ordered over the phone and the sales person bent over backwards to help. Items went straight in the post and were delivered as quickly as Aus Post would allow.
