Most of the teachers are nice but some of them are very mean and borderline abusive.

The teachers are mean and send kids out for no reason. They are biased and kids with bad mental health are ignored. Do not recommend this school

It's ok, in grade 7 I had severe anxiety and whenever I was having one of my anxiety meltdowns I was allowed to stay in the learning support centre (TLC) but a lot of students here like nearly every school are really rude and shameful. So many kids here who act like this is a state school. But other than that it's an ok school i would rate this better than Dakabin or NPCC

As a year 12 graduate, I feel as if I need to make a last post about the school on the google reviews. Before I get started on the pro's and the con's, I just wanted to say that you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. Especially when it comes to looking at reviews from other schools. (No disrespect for the other students who have went through incidents at their old schools)Pros:1. Friendly Community2. Friendly Teachers3. Excellent Food at the KCC4. Good education5. Amazing activities and educational supportCons:1. Collective Punishment2. Disrespectful students3. Constant fights and drama4. Removing access from certain websites & featuresLet's talk about all of these things. Now I want to get straight into the cons as this will give a better understanding of what is going on. Collective punishment is a big problem at the school, from personal experience, if a student were to break one of the rules, all other students who weren't involved with the situation have to go to the Kolbe Sports Centre and get told to not do it again. I do not believe that this issue should continue as it can affect some of the student's learning times and can be a waste of time for other people when the teachers can talk to the people that were actually involved. Point 2 and 3 are very similar as there are lots of students who cause fights within the school grounds and create drama for themselves and others. There are also students who disrespect the other teachers and the students because they feel like being rude. This is a problem at the school because it can affect those who are just trying to do the right thing. Removing access to websites and features is one of the other problems that happens at the school. Our laptops were all installed with a feature where we could not change out wallpaper background and we could not access YouTube. Even if students are using YouTube to watch videos instead of listening to the teacher, it shouldn't be blocked for everyone else as it can be used for educational purposes and it can also be used for those who want to spend their time at breaks watching content on the platform. This relates to the first point I made about collective punishment. Instead of bringing everyone else into the situation and blocking the rights for them to use such websites and features, they should only focus on the people who actually do the wrong thing. The positives about the school is that their are a lot of friendly staff at the college. I have talked to the majority of the teachers and have a good relationship with them. They are only trying to help the students create a better future for themselves. The community is also very friendly as you see people signing up for the SRC role (School Representative Committee) and students wanting to go for School Captain. The education at the school is amazing, especially when it comes to getting help from teachers. I have heard that the school has a great reputation when it comes to helping the disability children with their school work and trying to help them better communicate with the other students at the college.I want to end this review on a happy note that this is a good school. When I first came here I was very shy and wanted to go back to my old school, but overtime I have learn't to deal with it and have made some amazing memories that I will forever cherish. I would like to thank the principal and all of the teachers supporting us Year 12 students with our work. I hope life treats you all well. I leave this review with a 5 star rating because I believe that this school deserves a second chance and has room to change. Thank you for reading this post! :D

It has its goods and its bads. To start, the school is not 2.8 stars as it shows today. That's being extremely harsh. It's around 3 or 4 being frank. The Good:-Absolutely beautiful souls in here like Charis Madden, Allison Clifton, Caitlin Puplett and many more in different departments, like TLC, Pastoral etc.-Education is good and flexible.-'The Hub' and 'TLC', rooms accessible for neurodivergent kids who need extra learning support or kids who need to take a breather for a class.*-Nice school grounds in general. The Bad:-Obviously the bad teachers which you will encounter anywhere. There are some particularly mean and unbelievable ones in here, who I won't name, but you'll know them when you meet them.-The family that works for the canteen are friendly, but the said tuckshop is atrocious. The food is very restricting and not tailored to typical teenager preferences with 2 exceptions like your normal pie and sausage roll, in addition it is unreasonably expensive. A single small cookie is $1.50 when it used to cost 60c back in 2020. They also removed favourites like ice coffees, chocolate milks, coffees for everyone and just in general has fallen down severely and is looked down upon by everyone. Despite all the feedback the school takes for this, they will not change anything. It's extremely disappointing to see how badly the tuckshop has fallen.-*As stated before, there are rooms accessible for neurodivergent kids or kids who aren't in a good headspace, but a 'hub card' has to be made for the kids which is pathetic. The Hub should be accessible for everyone.-Most teacher's way of managing misbehaving students is to move them to another desk or send them outside instead of productively working with students, and they wonder why it does nothing.-Laptops are pieces of junk. You are provided with a dated MacBook which are terrible. For school and personal use. They are glitchy, easy to break, expensive and the worst of them all: restricting. They are rents, why are they so godawfully restricting??? So many websites are blocked, and to use half of the features you need the admin password. The lack of freedom on the laptops is abysmal. The newer ones aren't much better too, I've heard.
