I have been a client of Ruane’s for about 6 mths now and find her to be excellent in both her professional approach and delivery. Ruane’s goal is to help clients identify their challenges and offers them a range of beneficial solutions. She gives clear insights into life situations and circumstances, providing information for the client to think about and take on board, including empirically validated solutions that have helped others. Great work, well done.

I have been seeing Ruane for about a year now and my children have also been to see her on a number of occasions. The kids absolutely adore her and find her easy to talk to, which is amazing! Ruane has also helped me a great deal and I can always count on her to be honest, empathetic and provides me with various insights. I always come out of my sessions feeling like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders - highly recommend!

I saw Ruane as a student when I was going through a period of emotional turmoil and difficulty. As another reviewer has said, she spent a lot of time taking about herself (at the time, her new diet, weight loss advice for some reason? I hadn’t asked for this advice) but as this was the first psychologist I had seen, I thought this was the norm. It felt difficult opening up to her because I didn’t feel like she listened, everything I said was redirected back to herself, and eventually I just stopped telling her about my struggles. Her sessions were also very expensive from what I recall (in excess of $150) and I felt very stressed about the money that I was spending on these sessions. After a while I tried to start seeing her less but she was very reluctant to let me and kept trying to convince me to come weekly or at least every two weeks otherwise my ‘progress’ would be lost. At the time I was also struggling alot with sleep due to my anxiety and she tried to sell me some very expensive naturopathic sleep powder from a friend I think. I didn’t feel that it helped unfortunately.My new psychologist is lovely and helped to give a name to thought processes like catastrophising (and also how to interrupt and challenge these thoughts) which I found much more helpful.

I began seeing Ruane in June of this year during a difficult, unforeseen phase in my life and it has been one of the best decisions I made for myself and my personal self-healing journey. Thanks to Ruane I have come a long way since then and continue to improve with each session. Ruane is professional and knowledgable but also compassionate and understanding towards her clients - she has helped me immensely and I would recommend her services to anyone who may be struggling, considering seeking professional help or wishing to make positive changes in their lives. I have sought help through other therapists and Ruane has stood out among them with her ongoing advice and support.

Ruane was absolutely fantastic with addressing my daughter's anxiety and sleeping problems. My daughter was 11 years old at the time and Ruane really helped her with self-confidence, pre-adolescence anxiety and mood swings. She has really helped us set a very good tone and method for communicating.

Ruane is an incredible psychologist. Ruane is very passionate about helping people and has given me the tools to improve my mental health in just a handful of sessions. I find Ruane to be very easy to talk to and open up to about vulnerable topics. I am so happy that I found a psychologist like her.
