How I loved this vast garden full of Aussie natives!! You step through the bush and smell the aroma of Australia, see the high hanging gum trees and red sand. The little pool where you can dip your feet and cool off is a treat for kids and adults alike! There's plenty of places to sit and contemplate the vast beauty of this country, and it's even recommended as you walk through the gardens! It's always important to be reminded what species we have to protect in this country and this garden is a perfect example of the beauty that is Australia, and how we should protect it at all costs! The cafe is also amazing, as well as the gift shop! Can't recommend more for a family outing, day date or just to go with yourself and take some time out of the hustle and bustle of life.

It's a lovely place for a casual stroll and picnic. There are some amazing Australian native plants here, well curated, and easy to navigate. The gift shop has lots of goodies to purchase, including Royal Botanic Gardens x Maxwell Williams collection. There is plenty of parking and accessibility options. I would recommend packing a picnic / snacks as the cafe is small abd gets quite busy - plus there are lots of places to sit around the Gardens.

Beautiful gardens that is both a nice walk through nature as well as educational.Peaceful and a good amalgamation of nature with exhibition of various native plants and modern gardening that adheres to current issues such as water consumption. My favourite would have to be the eucalyptus walk showcasing various species of the eucalyptus tree.Would go again.

The Australian Garden is beautifully designed and maintained, and easily walkable for families. It's a fraction of the total area of the gardens, which are mostly bushland areas, but you would still need several hours to see everything properly (although a quick loop could be comfortably done in less than 90 minutes). It has a very different, more native feel than its sister in central Melbourne. The Visitor Centre is slick, with a nice shop and café.

What a great day we had! We live 15 min drive from here and this was the first time we took a day to visit the gardens. We decided to take the bus tour and Sue was an amazing guide and so afterwards we walked all the way h[we had visited while on the bus, we took over 200 pictures and videos altogether. I’m so in love with the amazing flora we have in this amazing country and the landscape is wonderfully done. After we went through all the gardens I walked along the water flowing feature which was lovely and then we decided to give the trails a go we did! 2 hours walking through Amazon bush and sightseeing the water lakes. Our day started at about midday and ended at 5:08 when the gardens were closed to the public. 12 kilometres walk and 20K steps, next time will be more! As our day was pretty hot.We saw a few wallabies in our trail walk and lots of dragonflies and lively butterflies as well, we also loved seeing bees having a feast at the bushes.A must see and visit fully!Bought lovely insect repellent from the gift shop which smells like a natural perfume.

What a wonderful place for an afternoon stroll through the gardens. We first took the opportunity to do the guided tour with commentary on the electric cart around the gardens, which was worth the $15 each we paid. Then we decided on what part of the gardens we wanted to see and took our time. Wonderful staff were very helpful and loads of wildlife. The site has a nice cafe there and a gift shop. Highly recommend going there for an afternoon out.
