TL;DRRude staff member, good staff member, price fixing. Do not recommend.I went to Fyshwick Home & Heating to ask a few questions and purchase a Green Mountain Grills (GMG) Daniel Boone BBQ as they are the only dealer of GMG products in Canberra. I was quickly served by Tim who could not answer my questions, which I completly understand, but he made no effort to find out, which he could have by calling the Rep or supplier (Hark). I was told I had to wait for Steve. After 20 minutes of waiting, Tim mentions that Steve is free. He hadn't been bothered to tell Steve that I was waiting for him. I asked Tim why he hadn't told Steve I was waiting and why he couldn't have called the importer or Rep?, Tim agreed he could have done that, but explained that he had paper work that was more important.When finally served by Steve, he was very knowledgeable, but he did not know the answer, so he called the Rep and found out in about 90 seconds.I did order the GMG through Steve but I was told that the importer (Hark) does not allow them to discount their products, which as far as I understood is against the law for Hark to do.

This is a genuine family business who really responds to what the client wants. If you want plain, they don’t show you fancy and vice-versa. Lovely salesman who gave a perfect combustion fire 101 for dummies (without making you feel dumb). Excellent range and know their stuff.

Having tried all the other fireplace stores and being fed alot of hot air. I tried this one, WOW straight forward advice without the BS all the other stores were pushing. Straight forward, concise, good information about their fires. 100% definitely will be buying my next fireplace from these guys.

Fyshwick Home and Heating had extremely knowledgeable and helpful staff (in marked contrast to other stove stores we tried in Canberra), and a wide range of stives and accessories. Our slow combustion stove was installed quickly and easily and looks fantastic. We are actually looking forward to winter!
