Best pastries in the Mountains! The croissant and snails are amazing, the pastry is flaky and the layers are distinct with a crispy outside shell. The high quality ingredients and technique are evident here. Also had the focaccia, a generous serve with some tasty toppings - we had it cold but would recommend bringing it home and warming it up.

Their coffee and chai is nice. Pastries are a bit on the expensive end. Our favourite was the foccacia.

Really good baked goods. Try the pain au chocolate, definitely worth while. It’s worth noting that when we went there was no seating available. Only downside of this place is that it’s rather expensive.

This place was in my to do list to have great pastries but the varieties were rather limited. Ambience were nice and cosy to chill out. Our orders tasted cold but was OK. See Seow Onz vlog on YouTube for more.

It is located on the side of the road. Very easy to miss as they do not have any big signage. It is adjacent to a Thai restaurant. The bakery does not have any seating. Parking is relatively easy as there is ample parking spot along the road. The staff are friendly and the bakery options are the best around the area, which usually results in a queue forming. Preferable to get here early. Coffee is average.

Amazing bakery in the town centre of Katoomba! - would definitely recommend stopping by if you’re around. The cinnamon croissant ($6) was really buttery, had great crunch/crisp on the outside as well as being moist inside. Also layered with cinnamon, pretty much a cinnamon scroll but with croissant pastry. The pistachio escargot ($8) also had great crunch, balanced, not overly sweet as dark chocolate was used. Every bite had this juicy syrupy sensation almost like a baklava. The mushroom focaccia ($7) was also great, loved the balanced combination of flavours from the pesto, mushroom, garlic and the cheese. The focaccia had a perfect bite - not too chewy but also not too soft.

An upscale, hipster-style bakery, this place offers a pleasant, somewhat unexpected touch in Katoomba. They excel in crafting pastries with unique flavors. We were particularly taken with the plum cheesecake. It was a sweet, delicate treat with a bit of crunch from the pistachios, nicely contrasting with the juicy plums. The chocolate escargot was another standout - crispy, flaky, and brimming with chocolate. But the real surprise was the hazelnut donut filled with custard cream. The custard, pleasantly unsweetened, carried a robust hazelnut flavor.Be warned, certain sought-after offerings do sell out quickly. While the prices are on the higher side, you can definitely taste the effort and care put into every pastry.

Excellent baked goods. Poor customer service. I came back for the amazing pastries and breads but will be hesitant to go back due to the poor customer service at the Katoomba store. Here is a tip for basic customer service - opening time means a business is ready to receive customers and commence trade. It is NOT appropriate to set up the store and make your customers wait. Secondly, greet your customers and acknowledge their presence in the store. Tell them you will serve them soon/next. Ignoring a customer who is not a “local” is very discourteous and plain inappropriate. Simple things that you as a business failed at. The topper: I went in around 7.40ish AM. The store was not busy. This behaviour was inexcusable and so obvious with the scant number of customers inside the store. Very disappointed. More so after jumping out of bed to be one of the first in store to get the goodies.

Fantastic baguettes, I have to grab one every time. And somehow they keep their crunchiness well enough that I'm not even toasting them the next day, not sure how that works, it defies the laws of baguette physics. In general, a croissant is always a good pick here too, though they come heavier than your average croissant, that high structural density is still well structured and flakey on the outside. Any Danish or snail type things is not a bad choice either. And similar to their other store out in Lawson it has a range of other breads, sourdough or country style or miche depending on the day, with different ancient grains, you might find the emmer, or khora san flour. Bakers of a high technical skill, with everything organic and stone ground and in the best interests of health while not forsaking your enjoyment. And a bit of room for coffee and a sit down at this shop compared to the Lawson store. A must stop in the area.
