The Calyx

This was one of the experiences at the Lightscape event at Vivid Sydney. This is a book a time and pay for experience to limit the number of people. An absolute amazing display of light set in the Botanical gardens accompanied by music. We enjoyed a calm warm evening in June. Food trucks along the way too.

This place is so pretty and relaxing. Definitely worth going! They take a good care of flowers and make this beautiful garden.I’ll go there again and browse those flowers in different seasons!

Beautiful attraction with vast array of plants and information plaques. Entry to the exhibit is free but donations are accepted. There is a nice cafe in the building which serves drinks and cakes to eat in or takeaway - recommend sitting outside if the weather permits and watching the birds

So beautiful!!! The entrance is by donation but you can enter free. The space is small but is amazing!! A lot of beautiful flowers and plants. They have acrylic figures that shine with the sun an reflects on the plants and flowers!! Nice place to visit.

Very beautiful display full of many iconic and interesting plants. The sun catchers dangling in the trees reflected beautifully onto the wall of plants. The volunteer Cherie was very friendly and knowledgeable! As a plant lover I was hanging onto every word she said as she described the different species of plants in the displays. Cherie is a bank of knowledge and explains things in a way that everyone can understand and enjoy.

A beautiful building with a lovely garden display.There is a cafe which has a nice seating area that you can relax in.The site is fully accessible to people with a disability.You are asked to make a donation to enter.

I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a unique and memorable experience. My only gripe is that the entry fee is a bit steep, but it is well worth the price for the experience that you get. Therefore, I give The Calyx Sydney a solid 4-star rating.

We attended the Astronomy at the Calyx event. It was magnificent!On arrival we received a glass of wine each, and joined the astronomers on the lawn. They showed us close ups of the moon and various stars and constellations.Then we attended a talk on astronomy and astrophysics, very interesting.At the end we got another chance at looking through the telescopes and also had a short walk with a guide explaining to us how his aboriginal ancestors passed down their knowledge of the stars.10/10 experience, would highly recommend everyone to do this!

Went to the Sydney Botanical Gardens and visited the current exhibition at the Calyx. Very visual and well put together. Well worth going in and having a look.

Peaceful as it gets. Not overly crowded at the time. Gorgeous decor.Feeling of sophistication.Recommend a lazy brunch.Staff friendly.
