Jan Powers Farmers Markets Powerhouse

It’s always a great decision and morning out at these markets. They have something for everyone, great food, coffee, local produce and flowers . Plenty of green space to sit, or only a very short walk to New Farm Park. Plenty of dietary options, and I highly recommend the donuts! There’s a dog park there too, so the whole family is welcome. There is however next to no seating - so this is definitely something that could be improved. It is very busy, so there can be long waits for coffee and food, but if it’s a beautiful day it’s worth the wait to lap up some sun.

We have been teaming up with Jan Powers Farmers Markets since 2022.Love the Market staff, the stallholders' community, the live music and the customers.Some of our rugs were blown away, I was there by myself, and the neighbours and local shoppers helped me with that.I like that experience, it touched me.We are grateful to be one of the premium home decor stalls of Jan Powers markets.

Brilliant markets. Great food and vibe. I would avoid the Crepe stand though. Five experiences where I have lined up for 15+ minutes only to be told they are out of ingredients. One time I can understand but five. No thanks! Loads of better options with faster service. Hot tip - if you are out of an ingredient cross it out off your menu board.

Very large Saturday market with variety of produce in season. Prices are reasonable. There are many stall to buy ready to eat food both savoury, sweets and fresh fruits and salads. There’s a band to entertain you with music while you shop or having breakfast. There’s a dog park for your best friend, too. There’s plenty of parking but be there early.

First time visiting this place. Really cool. A great setting for it. A good range of stalls with excellent food options. Something for everyone. They pack up by midday so I suggest getting there earlier. We were a little late.

I really enjoy these markets for a number of reasons. Let me explain. They're small but comprehensive so there's plenty of produce and stalls to chose from, there's entertainment, the ferry ⛴ is nice and close, there's plenty of parkland with huge trees along the walkways, and if that's not enough, there's a place to go to hang out for a coffee or a meal or a drink right there which overlooks the Brisbane River. That place is called Powerhouse and it's an old repurchased power station that has a theatre and two restaurant cafés. How cool is that? So if the 12 noon closing time is a concern then there's the option of the Powerhouse to soak in the ambience while gazing across the river. That's why it gets the full five star rating from this humble reviewer.
