The best wine tasting experience during our weekend in the Hunter Valley.We liked every wine & very dog friendly. Thank you to Kristee who really made our experience.

We had the most fantastic tasting experience here with Carrie. She was warm, very knowledgeable about the wines and generous with her time when in the midst of a busy day.It's the second time we've been to Oakvale, and we'll keep coming back. Our favourite winery in the Hunter by far.Pick of the wines for me is the Chardonnay and the Bellini. The Apple Cider is to die for. The Cab Shiraz is also beautiful. You can't go wrong here. We can't recommend Oakvale highly enough!

The rude hostess ruined the experience. Didn’t smile once and was condescending and unfriendly. It was awkward and she was definitely the worst host we came across on the 3 day trip visiting lots of wineries. Reading the other reviews, it’s probably the same woman. Oakvale mustn’t care because she’s still there and still treating people rudely. If you don’t like people, probably pick a different job

One of the best tasting experiences in Hunter Valley! We were welcomed by the awesome Jess, and our experience was full of learnings but more importantly laughter.. Jess’ personable attitude left myself and my group of friends in absolute hysterics - which was a huge highlight of our trip. Could not recommend Oakvale (and the Peach Bellini) enough!

My girlfriend and I were treated to an amazing wine tasting by Diana, who made every effort to keep us entertained and was extremely knowledgeable about her wines.I'll be coming back next time I'm in the Hunter region and hopefully it will be with Diana!

The best wine tasting we had so far in Hunter Valley! Their wines are really high quality and great price, staff is fiendly and knowledgeable and location is gorgeous! Tasting is 10$ per person and you can also purchase a delicious cheese board for 30$. We liked all their white wines, although we are more red wine people. From reds the Organic Shiraz was our favorite.Everything you would have imagined for a pergect wine tasting!Will definitely be back!

Well where to begin, like some wineries Oakvale charges a tasting fee but it’s not for their own pockets it goes to charity. A good way to chase off those looking for a free piss up while rewarding the people doing genuine tastings, it certainly adds to the good feel vibe at the winery.Now for the wines. Lots to choose from, lovely traditional wines (Shiraz,Chardonnay) but also some fun experimentation such as the Bellini bubbles, they’ve added a slight amount of peach juice to the mix before fermentation which smells divine and still holds onto its sparkling features alongside those peach flavours.The venue is nice and small, a good number of outdoor seating give the place a wonderful local and small business feel, low volume music plays while you do the tasting either at the bar or at a table outside.Best of all is the people though. We were in the wonderful hands of Johnny who was personable, knowledgeable and above all else FUN. He took care of us fantastically and we cannot wait to revisit in the future.

Jess is a fabulous host and will tell you all about the beautiful stories of each wine. Australian Certified Organic wine which makes them very special. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience.It’s pooch friendly and if they are good, they might get some treats too!

We had such an enjoyable wine tasting experience here. Brodie was super friendly and really took the time to explain each wine to us. Expect something a bit more experimental, but overall with a clean and organic approach. Would happily return!Biggest surprise were the Bellini sparkling and the apple cider. Neither was something we would drink normally but we were definitely pleasantly surprised.
