Ace Rental Cars Melbourne Airport

Awful experience! Tricky and deceptive website wording makes it seem like the car is available from the airport – it isn’t. We watched customers of proper car rental companies collect their cars and be on their way in minutes. I gave up after waiting on hold for over 20 min (hearing for the first time about an app you need to download to arrange a pickup) all up, it took us over an hour to get to the agency which was a whole suburb away. Once there, the hapless staff slowly collected all the info already on the application. The actual car was dirty and smelly and not the model we ordered but we didn’t want to go back and explain and waste more time with these people. Don’t’ do it!

Hi, may I know how to contact your company to make changes on my booking? I had sent emails to 3 different email addresses of your company but no reply. And I also cant make a call from overseas with the toll free number. Please assist, thank you.

Great value for the price, booked Hyundai i30 or similar, got hybrid Toyota Corolla which was very fuel efficient. Quick pickup, quick return, got my deposit back just a few minutes after returning the car

It was my first time visiting Melbourne and a few days after arriving my wife and I decided to rent a car for 3 days for a road trip to Mornington and Great Ocean Road. We figured it would be best to rent from the airport itself as it would make it easier for us to return the car and catch our flight home later on. We enquired with several car rental companies but there wasn’t any cars available without making any advanced booking. We chanced upon stressfreecarrental.com and made a booking then and there and was directed to Ace Rental Cars. Ace Rental Cars replied almost instantly and we took their own private shuttle bus from the airport to their office 10mins away. Paperwork and payment were fuss free and we were given an upgrade from a normal sedan to a Subaru XV. The car was in good condition and I had comfortable drive throughout my entire journey. After-hours：Car key drop box.When you drop off the car, there is no transportation andhave to call a taxi back to CBD by Skybus from the airport.

Thought they were based at airport -wrong. Found out I needed to book shuttle and get car before 1pm Saturday flight arrived just after office closed no car. Had to spend more getting another car. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY just go to a more reputable business

I provided my flight details upon booking.We couldn't possibly have disembarked & collected our bags before your office closed but you still accepted the booking. Called office no answer, no shuttle service available at the designated pick up. Spoke to Rhi she called the office numerous times no answer she said book another car & provide a ref number & then a refund which I did. I then called back & spoke to Nico B gave him the ref number.He wouldn't accept it. I was informed that the rental wasn't provided as the office closed at 12 on 11/3/23. I repeatedly asked to have the rental car either delivered or refunded but Nico B said that unfortunately neither were possible. I asked to speak to his supervisor repeatedly but was denied the opportunity & he hung up on me.

Thought it would be a pain in the arse waiting for transport off site to pick up the car. But a very smooth operation. The only real difference is that you don't have the frantic hordes trying to get a car with all their luggage, kids and impatience. Will definately be using these guys next time in Melbourne.
