Coles Victor Harbor

Amazing large supermarket with its own bakery so heaps of yummy treats to choose from. Good selection of fresh produce overall at a reasonable price. Only downside is that most checkouts are self serve so it can be a long wait if you prefer to be served as I do.

Baked bread is very yummy, meat range is large and fresh. A great Coles.

This is a very large supermarket which doesn't make the best use if the available space. There are most things that you would expect to find though. There is plenty of parking .

This place is enormous! Well set out, excellent range. Very wide check-out lanes - I don't know why this is good but it is.

Click and Collect? Rubbish! Order cancelled by Coles 4 hours after due pick up time and 24 hours later still have not refunded the $175 that was spent. Only met with extreme rudeness from the management at Victor Harbor and unable to speak to anyone in Customer Care as phones are not answered and no one seems to have a clue how to rectify the matter. Appalling service until eventually, 25 hours later, got through to 1800 number - apparently order was NOT cancelled yesterday and the computer was saying it was waiting for collection. (I had 4 different SMS messages telling me it had been cancelled). When computer changed to “order cancelled” my money was eventually, immediately refunded to bank account. The woman who dealt with the matter was polite, most helpful and efficient. Perhaps Coles should train their staff in store in the same way as those in Customer Care?

I shop at Coles Victor Harbor every week and I understand that prices of things must go up with the pressures today but I do object to the store being a self serve shop after 6pm. I would expect that there would be check out operators to help people till a reasonable time. Seeing as the store is open till very late most days I do find it a little rude that after spending more and more each week, I then have to pack and pay for the privilege of shopping there, whilst under the eye of a staff member to make sure I'm doing it right! I know moneys tough but I would think Coles aren't struggling like the people who shop there. I'm not angry just a little disappointed. And also the opportunity for kids to get work is diminishing...cheers

At 3.30pm today, I was waiting in the queue at Checkout 8, at the time it was very busy with only 2 checkouts open, after 15 minutes waiting I finally got to the counter only to have a Checkout Closed sign thrown in front of me and the staff member insisting she was going for her break. I was firm and suggested that after waiting for 15 minutes and being the last in line serve me and then be on your break but no she insisted, and made every effort to and did walk away. Fortunately a young lad stepped into her place last minute. Her refusal to serve me was appaling and not appreciated and uncalled for when in a few moments I could have been served and on my way and she could have taken her break. Whatever happened to the saying The Customer Is Always Right ?

Really lovely staff, always clean store, big variety of food, bakery section, good prices.
