Calling well ahead is recommended. Called consistently from 6pm on a Saturday to check food was available, no answer. Arrived at 7:30 to a locked pub with one guy watching tv inside.2 stars for the cuteness of the building.

On our way back to Sydney after an exhausting fossicking day. Needed a good meal. This pub delivered! We gad fish & chips & salad for $18 each; best I’ve had in a long time… & I don’t usually like fish! Batter on the fish was perfectly crunchy without being overdone, chips were crunchy, salad was not just normal boring tomato & lettuce - added red onion & small cubes of beetroot. The venue is renovated to modernise, with several roaring log fires - very welcome on a cold winter’s night. Friendly locals & publican. Worth a stop on your way past on the New England Highway.

The lady behind the bar, she was wonderful.The food services was disappointing. Two steaks where raw and the sea food also.The one of the owners is unfriendly and has not got the customer service.Because the issue was that the door lock on my door locked and was locked in my room and could not get out.I felt from this person, I was a child and it was my fault. Being g in my fifties.

Having read positive reviews on wikicamps, I was expecting a warm welcome.I think the Mrs may have been having a bad day. Not at all friendly.The seafood basket was delicious but was lacking in salad as listed on the menu. Good price $18

A Great Pub. Rustic Atmosphere, with Friendly Family Style Service.Good Pub food at very reasonable prices.This Steak, Chips and Salad, with a Soft Drink, less than $31!!!A real Gem in an out of the way place, good to stop at on a trip somewhere or just go there for a day out.

The rooms were great for a shared bathroom facility. The Hotel was a nice old Pub, BUT the female owner was not welcoming and made us feel very uncomfortable. We limited our time there in the bar, so as not to let her spoil our Country experience. Thankfully the bar Lady was nice to us.
