Adventure Bay General Store

Just had the best Lamington of my life here.So soft, so creamy!The service was tops as well. The lovely lady at the counter was very honest with where to get what.

I purchased petrol here, seems they have comprehensive supplies of general grocery/fishing items, loved the beach and the sculpture across the road.

Good little public store and the only petrol station on the island .This is also the only Tesla charge station on the island.The fuel price hear was about 20-25 cents above mainland Tasmania .The shop has a big range of meat and frozen goods and a ok selection of fruit and vegetables and all the things you would need to survive on holidays .There is also an ATM heat and bottled exchange gas .

They’ve got everything you forgot to bring on your holiday! And so much more.

Love the store , would put 5 stars if the prices were a little bit lower… Today my mom sent me there to buy some food , the list included cheese , which was wayyy too overpriced, we were here on a short holiday , usually we shopped in a coles near our apartment , as I remember the small block of Bega cheese costs 4.50 , in the shop it costed like 13.45 , also the list included a pack of milo cereal , they were 7.50 (it was the small box) , I remember buying the same milo cereal but a family pack for the same price, also a couple of other stuff was kinda overpriced, but I loved the great staff , would definitely go back but probably won’t take the same stuff as I did today.

Cute store. Much needed on the island. Good variety. Good service.

We turned up 30min late, needed petrol and they were only too happy to serve us. Also bought some supplies and the owners were well mannered, lovely and polite people. Great store, beautiful people will go back tomorrow.

Pretty much everything you need to survive during a holiday in the area. Expect high prices and only a few examples of each food product. That's what happens in a remote place, where a business has no competition. Example: have a good laugh at my photo of the fuel prices...!
