I sent a message via messenger to ask for a repair job for our washing machine in North Canberra, and I received a response that same evening. He is busy, however when he arrived to fix the washing machine for us, he was quick to help find the issue and order the part we needed to fix it. When he returned with the replacement part and tested the item, once again it was handled promptly and fixed. Yeah.We can't thank him enough for he efficient, professional service with our whitegoods, and would gladly ask for his help again if the need arises.

Was able to come out the next afternoon and take a look at our faulty washing machine. Diagnosed the problem fast and gave me a realistic timeframe and quote to repair. Honest pricing and great value. Would recommend. Great communication also which is priceless these days.

Jimi was friendly and professional. He ordered original parts quickly, came over and repaired our oven promptly. I can definitely recommend Jimi for your next appliance repair.

Jimi replaced my oven element, fixed my outside sensor light and then fixed my washing machine over a few separate visits. He was always on time and had very reasonable rates. Another sparky told me my washing machine couldn't be fixed so glad I got an honest opinion!I don't usually leave reviews but think Jimi definitely is a tradie I would recommend to friends :)

I urgently needed some lights replaced. Even though Jimi had finished for the year he came around and did them. He communicated well, turned up on time, was quick and efficient.I highly recommend Jimi.

I have had a none functioning dryer for weeks, due to a heat pump that was never ordered, yet invoices were received.Questions were asked and met with an invoice and no answers. Then he harasses my partner during her meetings in the middle of the day rather than calling back at a more appropriate time.Avoid the hassle.Update: Fisher & Paykel repairer came around, diagnosed and replaced the part (faulty capacitor in picture) in 20 minutes and cheaper than quoted by this business.

My dryer started smoking and not finishing cycles so I called Jimi Sparks to come help. I could have tried to fix it myself and fiddle with it multiple times but I chose not to because I didn’t want to damage it further, so I called a highly recommended professional. He answered straight away and organised an appointment for today. He came and told me my dryer was being overloaded so that’s the reason why it was broken and there was nothing he could do further. Such friendly service and very clear even though I was panicking, now my dryer is working fine. I almost bought a new one so thank god for Jimi Sparks! Gave me a discount for the call out fee since I’m a pensioner, and said I could pay in a few days which I really appreciated.

After contacting Jimi Sparks to repair a dryer, he came around looked at the dryer and said that there was nothing wrong with it - possibly not working due to being overloaded. He did not look at the dryer in depth or take anything apart on this first occasion.After being provided an invoice for the call out fee and then attempting to use the dryer again with a much smaller load, it started to smell like smoke again and stopped working 12 minutes into a cycle. This was only a few hours after the initial visit. I sent an email detailing this and two videos, asked him to come back to look at it again but take it apart and really investigate.He came back the following day, took the dryer apart (with a lot of trouble mind you - had to look up manuals and YouTube videos) After looking at it the second time he said that it was a faulty pump and he would order this. All well and good.New invoice sent, I enquired as to when the part would arrive and no information was given. Another week went on and I emailed again. No further updates on this. So I tried using the dryer again for just a towel when it threw a error 4. I emailed again with this new information and the invoice was sent again but no answers to my questions.I have since had to find someone else to repair the dryer.In the coming days I told him I wasn't paying for the part that was not received. The invoice was due to be paid and I intended on paying this. However just 72 hours after this email exchange he has persistently called me during work hours.Today he called me 3 times on his regular mobile number which I was unable to answer due to being in meetings. I then received another 3 calls two hours later on a private number. Thinking something has happened at my children's school I answered and had to step out of my client meeting.He was incredibly rude and abrupt on this phone call, I explained I was in meetings and would pay the invoice after I had finished. I ended up hanging up on him as he was just so rude. 2 hours later a lady calls going through the same thing, I can only assume this is his partner. I again explained that I was at work and I would pay after I finish. To which the reply was we need proof before close of business. I am unable to provide that as I have meetings until 4:30pm.This whole experience has been disgusting, I would not recommend using him at all. He has very little knowledge about appliances and at the end of the day lacks communication and is just rude, threatening and one of the worst tradesman I have had to work with. I wouldn't even give a star if this was an option. Save yourself the hassle.
