Mr McCardle returned my call within 20 minutes of me going in there. He was very polite to me on the telephone and was keen to help out. He gave good ideas and advice. Offered his pickup truck at a fantastic price if needed. Although my Dad fixed the problem, I would not hesitate in taking my 3 classic cars to his workshop, knowing he and his mechanics have great older car knowledge and much respect for all makes and models.

Mick and team has been servicing my Utes for about 8 years .. good old fashioned service .. they drop me to offive, collect me when finished . The one thing I love about Mick is there are no false pretences .. if something needs work .. he rings, explains and quotes .. no hidden surprises, no frightening bill at the end when. The have taken the liberty todo additional work without approval .. thank you again for your exemplary service Mick McCardle !

Bought a second-hand vehicle here engine ceased on the way home to Strath! Called the Mcardle and they said, sorry - buyer beware! Didn't even want to offer any assistance! Called RAA and got a tow home. Found out later it was a known fault with the car and the books had been cunningly filled out. Stay away!!!

Very dissappointed got told their were no issues with the car i bought off of them but day one a huge oil leak underneath they fixed it but still had to pay $500 they took engine out yo do this got it back still strong oil smell but went away slowly then i realised xar was starting to run alittle wierd like skipping gears on take off and stuff and not as much power then one night just crept it home and now no reverve etc called back up but got told probs trans and ill be charged to have it fixed its around 3000 to fix so still without a car for myself and kids as i cant afford to fix this car i got told nothing needed to be done only had 2 months very upset and i feel i get no say or even another car so i have one ...

Mick and staff did a sensational job on my Vintage Ute, going above and beyond, sourcing parts from interstate and completing my list of maintenance jobs.

This business was nominated by the RAA to replace my battery under warranty. I did exactly as instructed, attempted to communicate to the business what directions I'd been given over the phone by the RAA and presented my full receipts and battery warranty folder. The owner was exceptionally rude, aggressive, threatening, refused to receive information and left me physically shaking and I'm usually tough. He was inept to communicate with and he shouted rudely, seemingly because he did not know his own operation's procedures, yet refused to let me speak. Another female customer witnessed the tail-end and could see his demeanour had been foul and upsetting. If I weren't legitimately scared of his level of heightened aggression and volatility I'd have given him a piece of my mind on the spot. Rude, uncouth and physically intrusive, at one point shoving a phone within a foot of my face into my personal space and no air of apology when he'd been educated correctly by the RAA. If frustrated with your own shortfalls, or don't understand policies and paperwork yet won't bother to hear a customer out or read the paperwork provided, don't take it out on the people you're elected to deliver a service to. As an owner of more than one vehicle we know where *not* to go for repairs in Goolwa. It's a shame as I'm certain the groundstaff are nice and were lovely on the phone. This man reeked misogyny and blatant impoliteness. *Edit to add: follow up response from owner is fallacious. The woman who entered didn't even see or hear any of the conversation between self and owner in order to comment, she only saw me cowering and almost in tears facing away from him after him being abusive at the end of the exchange. Owner was not trying to explain the warranty process". He didn't know what to do or how and hence why he had to call the RAA twice for them to verify what I was saying is correct. This was not an assassination on social media. It was a review left after how shaken and hurt I felt by dealing with you. Further conversations within the local community have validated I'm one of only many people who have been subject to this owner's rage and lack of self-control

Overpriced and under serviced, Still did not complete the 15k book service that was intended for dealer warranty purposes. Feed a whole heap of BS excuses from the owner and then got home with a big over spill of dirty diesel oil to clean up. Dirty oil swimming around in the bash guards, all over the trans, front diff and more. John assures me the bash guards were removed to do the drain. No other mechanics make that much mess. No detail whatsoever on the invoice for new car warranty .Extremely disappointed, Totally ripped off, Best avoided. Very Sad
