Cowes Medical Centre

Very happy with service I received today from Dr. Sukitha Mahanama.

I had a friendly greeting, a brief wait to see the doctor (not my usual GP but seemed very patient and thorough). Another friendly smile back at reception.

This medical centre charges for consultation despite stating on their website they bulk bill for health care card holders, pensioners and childrenunder 16. The staff including the doctor are rude, unsympathetic and dismissive. Rural people being treated abysmally.

I have been to Cowes Medical Clinic on many occasions, staff at reception are always pleasant and helpful and doctorsare always professional..

In spite of always being busy, the ladies who, let's face it, run the place, are always accommodating and trying their best to fit you in, or find a way to make sure you're not left without help.Dr Natalia Chatsionok, whom I have been seeing for many years now, is a God send. She is booked out for weeks ahead, which is a testament to her abilities as a doctor, but also who she is as a person. An extremely good listener, a brilliant diagnostician, and an extremely kind human being. And of course a wise and excellent doctor.I cannot recommend the clinic and Dr Natalia enough.Thank you for everything!Ania Nowakowska

Had a stray stitch left in my eyebrows went in with no appointment. Within minutes DrKev the nurse removed it and I was on my way in 10 minVery happy

Sue black Vincent ( nurse ) at this clinic was negligent and failed to give me the right information and didn’t take the time to review my care plan properly. There were many mistakes regarding what medication l was taking at my care plan appointment and my blood pressure wasn’t taken nor my weight. I was rushed through this appointment and was asked by the drs whom l saw to correct my own care plan! I was also not informed correctly about my care plan and this led to out of pocket expenses. I hope in the future that she takes the time to inform patients of the correct procedures and takes the necessary steps to review a care plan carefully and thoroughly before they leave the clinic!

I have been a long-standing patient of Cowes Medical Centre so I feel well placed to share my comments.On entering, the Reception Staff always greet you warmly with a smile & are happy to assist where needed, & follow up requests.My Nurse(s), exceptional, knowledgeable, compassionate & always helpful, & truly deserve further recompense for their devoted care of their patients.My GP’s, always kind & understanding & willing to go above & beyond what is required to better my health, & thus maintain the best outcome possible for me.I thank you for the opportunity to comment.
