Dealt with the older gentlemen in the store (name escapes me) who was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and great to deal with. He gave us an education in lighting which led us to a better decision ultimately.We purchased 3 different lights and are very happy with the purchase.A very good experience.

Placed an order for tracklights and a fan from this store and notified when ordering that they would be picked up late July. Weeks before the notified pick up date I was called by the older, assumed manager, Peter(?) who demanded they were picked up and hung up on me halfway through a sentence.When later questioned that we were told the fan would come with a full wall switch, instead of just the relay, he again was condescending and laughed at my partner. When questioned as to why he was laughing, he remained silent, most likely as he only has the courage to disagree over the phone. If you must go to this store, deal with the younger red headed guy. He is knowledgeable, helpful and seems genuine

Horrid service. Go somewhere else where the sales staff are actually interested in customers. I was about to purchase and hand over $700- and the salesman simply turned and just started talking to someone else completely ignoring me.

Store staff were helpful and knowledgeable. Purchased 7 outdoor lights with the promise of delivery in approx 7 days. Called a few days later to see if we could pick up the lights earlier and a combination of staff chased around and picked up all our lights from other stores and deliver to our home at 8pm. Well beyond expectations. Thanks

Went to this store around 5:10pm, which is close to their closing time of 5:30 but we had 20 minutes to spare. We were fully ready to buy 2 ceiling fans and had done our research.The staff member said it was too close to closing time for a ‘big sale’ and he couldn’t sell to us. He mumbled something about fraudulent sales late in the day, as though we looked like scammers… seemed a bit rude.No worries, we took our money elsewhere.

I was keen to utilise the services of this company in my unit where I have a lot of very high quality paintings to light. I estimate there is 10 - 15m of track lighting required.I wished to avail myself of their service where they will visit and advise and the fee is just $100 and refundable against an order.I rang the store last Thursday around midday. There was no answer other than a computer" . I selected the correct options and then there was no answer and I was invited in glowing terms to leave a message with comforting assurance they would get back in touch asap.I left a concise message indicating me needs and literally spelling my name and giving twice my phone details (as I in my business appreciate this).It is now the following Wednesday - nearly a week and not a word from them. That is deplorable and is treating customers with contempt.I am semi retired and can only do a limited amount of not dissimilar field of work. Every client who contacts me receives the courtesy of a reply especially when I regret to advise that I cannot assist them.If I was not 100% confident I had been clear in my simple request and contact details (on their message bank) I would not write this review which I very much regret. Real "service" / care about a client seems to have disappeared for a variety of reasons

Very efficient delivery of circular fluorescent tubes (which I was having difficulty sourcing elsewhere) from Beacon Lighting Crows Nest store. I ordered on Sunday and they arrived via courier Monday morning at 9am! Thank you!

I was recommended this shop by a very good electrician (Mark Brown), and I was impressed with the excellent customer service, the attention to detail, the solid website, and the product range. The prices were also reasonable. The guys in the shop certainly know their product. It is a very satisfying customer experience to have the pros and cons of different lights explained. They are clearly LED fans (as am I), and they are very brand aware - their preferred brand being GE. If you want a good lighting shop, this should certainly be on your list.

Writing this review is a no-brainer. I simply cannot fault the service and product range at this Beacon store. It's been tough getting things done for a renovation during Covid and it can be challenging selecting the right products online. Then when you go into the store to collect your items, you find other products that you prefer. Both Borjanka and Chelsi were incredibly helpful. Their product knowledge and recommendations were very much appreciated and none of my requests were a problem. Will definitely return and recommend. Thanks so much guys!!
