Freedom Retractable Screens

Very poor customer service, playing the blame game and lots of excuse making. I thought the owner was quite rude with the way he handled my concerns. In the end the screen does look good, but it took several visits.

Great place to get retractable screens

I have not written a negative review before but my experience with Freedom Retractable Screens warrants this review to strongly warn people away from this business. The screen through very poor design has been back today for the 4th time over 3 years and the owner today accused me of having deliberately damaged the screen. His attitude was rude and instead of suggesting an alternative to solve my frustration suggested I pay (yet again ) to have the screen re-meshed at $400 plus.When I through frustration suggested I would call consumer trading his response was 'good luck'.The support for the screen in the South West is non existent - he couldn't remember the name of the person they use to service/install their screens around Margaret River. Like one of the other reviewers he suggests everyone else is at fault. I have been told amongst other excuses that it was installed incorrectly (by his recommended installer) and now today that I have deliberately damaged the screen!I have a degree in architecture and can say with confidence that these screens are flawed in the first instance in their design. Our screen after failing to begin with (the mesh pulled away from the screen) then was brought back to Perth again only to find that in less than 12 months it had corroded and failed ....again.I would advise against this product and very strongly suggest that you will not receive any back-up or support from the arrogant and rude owner.I am now looking for an alternative product.

I've just had the most delightful pair of blokes come and quote my job in Hilton WA. Freedom were recommended to me by another door company and I can see why. One senior man and another (I'm guessing younger apprentice) went above and beyond, providing tips and key advice for options to consider. No pressure, just good old fashioned service. They even corrected my dodgy shutter for free while they were here. It's a rare thing these days to see service and ingenuity come together. I can't wait to work with this company and I'm convinced it will be the very best outcome. Stay tuned...
