Driftwood Café
Nice little cafe with great terrace outside seating area, decent selection of coffee and food. 5 star rating for having the nicest staff taking care of a bag we left there accidentally with my wife's passport and wallet in it. Had to wait for a week before we could get back there form Sydney. They kept the bag and were extremely friendly to calm us down after thinking we lost my wife's identity.

Popped in for coffee juice and cake. Looking around, I was disappointed we weren’t eating in. Best orange poppyseed cake I’ve ever had. Melted in my mouth. Hopefully will be back soon.

Over priced food. Lacking in flavour and presentation. Thin white toast for a smashed avo that wasn't even toasted.Big brekky for $24! Horrible, worst big brekky I ever seen and iv been a cook for years!Would not recommend$74 for 2 adults and kids waffles, would not have cared if the food was decent

Medium size cafe on the high street with a covered open air eating area at the rear. We had afternoon coffee but were a bit disappointed. For $4 the coffee was weak and the milk very average.Cafe layout is a bit weird and not terribly inviting. They have boxed the central kitchen area in, which creates a weird feel. Open kitchens are the norm now & a change to central space would make the entrance feel far more inviting. The mens toilet in the complex has a very unusual urinal….

After a positive few days travelling down the South Coast with all the challenges of going solo with a dog I was feeling good - until I crossed the road on a rainy day to purchase a travelling coffee from this Cafe. I was one step in the door to be greeted with You can't bring that dog in here!" I politely responded that I wanted a takeaway. The officious server said "Well

Not great. This tired “cafe” has the atmosphere of a mortuary. Staff were friendly however the food was not good at all. Fried eggs and scrambled are an option but poached seems to be too difficult for the staff. Can’t be bothered to supply salt and pepper shakers, opting to thrown a few paper packets of both on the plate under the food. Food is greasy so that the paper packets soak up the grease and you can’t end up using the salt and pepper anyway so what’s the point?! It’s clear that there is no love nor care for what comes out of the kitchen. I get the impression that the staff (seems that they are the owners) just go through the motions to pay the bills. It’s a shame and I feel for them as they are probably trapped in a business that they probably feel shackled to. If they would just lift their game, they may have a sellable business!

Food was cooked well. The whole experience was a little underwhelming.I was a bit disappointed that all dishes come with white bread and we have to pay extra for sourdough…I paid $19 for a fried egg, some spinach, not even 10 grams of feta, 2 slices of bacon and some slices of tomato (which is not even in season) and extra for the sourdough!I wish this would have included a « hello » when we got in and a « goodbye » when we left. The amazing views from the balcony don’t even compensate for that!

The most disappointing meal we have had on this holiday.Smashed avo on toast with feta was $15 and well overpriced for the quality. 2 slices of white supermarket bread with chunks of brown avocado. It was actually inedible and left without eating it.Also asked for the feta to be on the side as my daughter is allergic to dairy". Feta came in the avocado. It is frustrating that a simple request for a life threatening allergy is so carelessly dismissed. The "view" from the balcony is overlooking a busy road which was mostly trucks at 9am."
