Whittlesea Show. First weekend in November. Dogs on leads now allowed.

Landcare put on a fantastic day. Hosted at Whittlesea Agricultural society. Venues where great. Landcare ran a propagation workshop. Great experience all round. Thank you to everyone involved.

Great country show run first weekend in November. A membership is only $45 (an adult entry for one day is $20) and allows entry for two adults and unlimited children for both days. It also gives you access to the members carpark which is a god send if you have little children.

Disgusting behaviour towards disabledPurchased tickets for a quadriplegic adult and dementia adult prior to event, limited disabled parking, forced van to park in unsafe area to unload. Arrogant attendant at gate refused entry of both the wheelchair bound quadriplegic and dementia adult Carers. Without Carers these people cannot access the community safely. We were forced to pay full price tickets for the carers to gain entry to grounds, discrimination against disabled people was sickening, would never go again, urge people share this. Next year these two will sit at home and not access community events.

Whittlesea Annual Show21-22 January 2023Big two days out at this annual event. A traditional Agricultural Association festival with competitions in all the usual country categories including horses, cattle, sheep, animal nursery, cooking, sewing, flowers, and machinery displays, rides, food stalls and trucks. Literally something for everyone to enjoy. Animal petting for kids, displays of art, crafts education student samples etc. Lots of food trucks, Show bags, crafts etc. Not quite enough shady seating but you can find it if you’re lucky. It was hot, enjoyable and tiring. Thanks to the organizers and competitors for their efforts. Roads, parking and traffic support by CFA and Police. Just a small sampling photos here. Such a great institution. Had a blast. Only hope they do some basics such as add some information to poultry cages so we can learn about the breeds etc. Overall, an amazing agricultural show worth the trip.

Whittlesea Show is always an amazing day out. A committee of volunteers put together this fabulous event every year. After some time off due to covid they were set to come back in Nov 2022 but the wet weather forced them to reschedule to January. Unfortunately some providers were unable to attend, I'm guessing due to scheduling clashes with other events that weekend but nonetheless it was fabulous. Bring on the first weekend in November!
