Fishy Business Aquarium

Just went in and looked at their Hermit Crabs and fish for my husband. Their tank wasnt appropriate for the crabs. One crab was out of his shell and dead, leaving their shell is a sign of great stress. Another crab in its shell i am 99% sure it is dead too. The staff were unaware of how to care for them properly. I was told the current heat wave was what killed them. They also had assumed the crabs died because of humidity. That is not true, crabs need humidity (ideally 70%) and suffocate without it. They come from hot climates, so the heat isnt much of an issue, you just need to provide water for them to self regulate.I understand it is an aquarium shop, they do not specialise in Hermit Crabs. I worry about the conditions of the fish in there. If staff cannot spend 10 minutes to google easily avaliable information, i doubt their quality.We left without buying anything even though hubby wanted a tank.

Went to buy a fish - as you do at an aquarium.Found one that I particularly liked, and when they went to put it in the bag they dropped it on the floor!Then picked it up and put it in the bag! Still took the fish - luckily it is OK.However they didn't even apologise or offer a different fish. Not sure about the training or quality of their staff. Hopefully the service improves!
